varnish is so annoying! is she capable of beating ANYBODY aside from becky? I think she scuppered Britain chances of getting a medal in the womens' sprint by winning that quarter final.

unbelievable, Clancy wins half of the events but doesn't get on the podium, think this is proof you need to be good at all the events in the omnium not just some of them.

Speaking of Clancy, he rode a faster kilo than Emadi-Coffin.

After 4 of 5 days, Australia, Germany and France have 3 golds each.

How often do you see three different tricolour flags with the same colours (and similar layouts) in a medal ceremony?

Another disappointing performance, what is wrong with the british team this year, one or two people beign off form I can understand, but numerous riders we should expect better from are failing to deliver this year, from what I hear Britain we're doing well in the world cup events leading up to this so what the hell happened here? Thankfully the Olympics are still a couple of years away so there's time to fix this.

still 90K to go when we join the race...........that's probably 2 and half hours !

not sure I'll stick with it as there's racing, football and cricket on.......

Plus..........I've never heard of this race. I don't mind ES showing all these minor races which they've started to do in the last year or two but it does seem to signal the fact they appear to have lost rights to quite a lot of the big races

It's like Sky losing the Premier League and filling the schedule with Conference games......

Old timer Tom Boonen wins.........he seems to have been around for ages but can still be competitive in one day races.

eh?

I record 301 on a freeview pvr, no problem.
You can even hard set the timer to channel and timers.

The hard bit is that the progs often change without them telling you.

update on the world track championships, jess varnish and becky james Barely qualified for the kiering semi finals via the repecharge while Victoria Williamson Is out. laura trott looks increasingly likely to take the silver in the omnium after taking second place behind sarah hammer in the individual persuit.

Frankly i'll be glad when this is over, this hasn't been a good championships for Britain and I hope they can address this over the next year and have a better performance at the next championships.

ooh.........red button coverage has been delayed because of snooker.........
alexjones

well looks like Trott will be taking the silver barring something dramatic happening in the final event.

Becky James in the final of the keirin but Jess Varnish out.
grassmarket

Good stuff, Becky James comfortably through to the keirin final, Jess Varnish run out of it. Vogel looks very strong though.
alexjones

and it's official, Laura Trott takes the silver.

BBC red button starting, they have rewound to the beginning of the evening, though, so sticking with the live stream.

OK, c'mon Becky, let's save some pride.
alexjones

bronze for becky, not as good as last year but better than nothing.
grassmarket
02-03-2014
Bronze for Becky James, well run race considering she is not in great form.
grassmarket
02-03-2014
Looking at Vogel and Anna Meares, there's no doubt that Becky James needs to bulk up a bit.

so it looks like our final tally is 2 golds a silver and 2 bronzes unless the men pull off a miracle in the Madison.

Hope this is a bit of kick up the backsides for the guys, they have got 5 months to pick up for the Commonwealths, which ought to be really competitive with strong English, Aussie, Kiwi and Canadian teams.

Owen Dioull seemingly determined to repeat his achievement of not scoring a single point in the Points race by not scoring a single point in the Madison either.
