They said on commentary today that Rodrigues has just announced that he will ride the Tour after all.........he's recovered !

Two big mountain days coming up in the Dauphine over the weekend. Not much change over the last couple of days: Chris Froome had a nasty fall today about 7km from home but the peleton waited up for him. He looks pretty grazed, so he'll be bandaged up tomorrow. Adam Yates still in contention for the white jersey.

I only caught brief bits of this today - so no-one in the breakaway that won by 5 or so minutes was a challenge to the GC?

Apparently not completely recovered; only riding for stages instead of GC in preparation for the Vuelta. He will be fresher than Contador who took the red jersey from him during a late stage back in 2012.

Tomorrow's HC climbs should prove a good marker for the mountain top finishes in the Tour. First is a steady 8% for 13km. The final 10km climb is 1% steeper with a real kick in the final kilometre: http://www.cyclingstage.com/images/c...ut-emosson.png

Wooooh! Alby has snatched the lead from Chris Froome by 9-10 seconds.

the possiblity of a very interesting situation we have here.. Froome does not win the Dauphine
Bradley Wiggins takes the Tour of Switzerland in emphatic fashion and then wins Commonwealth games Gold
Froome again loses out to Alberto in the TDF
= Sky looking like idiots

I'm praying than Alberto can hold on to the lead tomorrow and give Chris Froome the equivalent of a custard pie in his face.

The result of the opening ITT of Tour de Suisse: http://www.procyclingstats.com/race/...gue_Bellinzona

No live tennis before coverage tomorrow. Le Mans instead, so a guaranteed start on time?

It was definitely Carlton and Brian Smith on commentary today ?

it appears from the Le Mans thread that he's been commentating on the Le Mans 24 Hour race today..........busy lad !

Do people hate Froome that much that they cheer when someone like Contador wins?

Hate is a strong word - I just don't like Chris Froome. So I'll be cheering for Contador every pedal of the way.

Definitely CK and Smithy today. He had a quiet day and did not get too loud and animated until the final couple of kilometres - when there was something to shout about.

Porte looked as though he is still not fully back to his old self.

When ONCE rode the Tour they used to change their yellow kit for pink to avoid confusion with the leader's jersey. Will Tinkoff-Saxo be asked to do the same?

Looking like an exciting last stage of the race, Contador is isolated, lots of attacks going off the front...

Froome looks like he's done, knows he's beaten and is just going through the motions.

Amazing stuff, the race is all over the place - I think NIeve is going to finish ahead of Froome as top Sky rider. Another great ride from Adam Yates, third on the day.

The young riders white jersey contenders Kelderman, Bardet and Yates finish 4, 5 & 6 on GC.

A pity we did not see how well placed GC riders were allowed to get away in the break.

Question is whether Froome was suffering from his recent injury or if he cannot sustain his high performance of previous years?

TdSuisse on now - CK said tennis.

I think all the pressure surrounding Froome and Wiggins is taking it's toll on the Sky team
Froome not even in the top 10
a massive statement from Alberto as regards TDF

I wouldn't read too much into that, given Froome's injury. I get the distinct impression that he was affected a lot more than he (understandably) let on.

I dont agree he looked totally crushed at the end of todays stage.. his confidence took a huge nose dive after today
I still think he will ride a humongous race in the Tour but he cannot be favourite after Alberto's performances this season

the big thing in his favour is Sky have a much stronger team backing Froome

Couple of flat stages in TdSuisse today and tomorrow..........chance to see where Cav's form is running up to the Tour

He's been a bit in and out this season..........and the big boys appear to be avoiding each other

Don't think there's any of the top sprinters here so he should be winning against the likes of Kristoff, Swift and Sagan

My own view is that the jury is still out as to whether he's gone over the top........

Wiggo hasn't seemed much interested in the TdS so far - Friday is a hilly 24.5 individual TT so he probably just wants that.
