It's boring filler at the moment. However, once the actual racing starts ITV will probably do their usual superb job.

The BBC's coverage of the 2012 Olympic road race was a very poor effort, especially the use of commentators and summarisers with zero knowledge of the sport.

That wasn't the BBCs fault though, the host broadcaster[which wasn't the BBC]never had timmings other than at official checkpoints, so you never knew how far ahead of the peleton the breakaways where.
