Who has everyone's player of the season for Chelsea been this season ? It's seems that most people are saying Hazard but i wonder why. It's not like Hazard has been amazing, he has had periods where he has been great, but surely Terry has been our player of the season so far. He has been consistently excellecnt, the best defender in the league this season i would say.
I'll reserve judgement unti the season's over. Up to now, in my opinion it's between Terry and Hazard, with Ivanovic and Cech (as always) worth a mention. Willian had a good spell but appears to have gone off the boil. Oscar has not done so well recently, Azpil has been consistent without doing anything special. Matic has been excellent since he joined, Cahill has looked solid, Ramires has been a bit up and down.

April has been a great signing so far. He had a first season that was tremendous on the right.

When Jose came, and preferred Ivan in there I thought he would become a casualty of the new managers broom. Switching him to the left has not stopped his development. What a player!

More so when you consider his rival has been arguably out most consistent and best (or at least one of) our best players the last few seasons AND one of the best in Europe and done on playing ability alone (i
e Cole has not done anything to deserve to be dropped on or off the pitch)

It's a fantastic achievement and one I did not think I would see happen so quickly unless we went out and bought the finished product and a specialist in that role.

I see Jose has been ruffling feathers again, saying we have no strikers and Falcao has no club. Why the faux outrage, we DON'T have any strikers, the press like to remind us of that on a daily basis.....

Jose doesn't say anything by accident, there is always method to his madness. It might just not be apparent straightaway.

Remember when he openly criticised Joe Cole ? it made Cole a better player. The players should use that as motivation to get better. If you are not looking to impress the manager then why even bother.

Our strikers only have themselves to blame for any criticism of their goal-scoring. It would be nice to think this might spur them into action (even if it's only short-lived as long as it helps us win the title….)

its not good news, as the UK tabloid media are using it to bash our club yet again.

Eto has been "ok" for someone we signed on a free. Torres and Ba unfortunately do not seem to have a future at the club.

Is lukaku still injured?

We'll always be bashed, we're top of the league and all I hear about us is either bashing JM or saying how shit our strikers are...yet we're still top.

Comments from Drogba this week.

I can't forget what I've done there and all the memories. Chelsea will always have a special place in my heart and in my life.

On Jose: It is a man to man relationship, a friendship. These moments are special, because they're very important, very precious.

I'm not over Chelsea yet and I don't want to be. People know how much I love the club and the fans.

Drogba when asked about a move back to the PL:

If, and I say if, by any chance it could happen, it would be only with one team.

God I love this man - loyal to the Blues.

He left our club to cash in his fame in China, to help fund his charity projects.

When this fell through, i have no idea why he ended up in Turkey!

I just think our club would benefit from a quiet time, and out of the headlines.

But i know this is impossible, as the UK press have it in for those at the top of the league.

It's never going to happen, we have never been that popular with the press (even before the money) and I don't see that changing anytime. We could have the best striker in the world scoring a goal every game and they would turn around and say he should be scoring 2.

Only way to deal with them is by taking no notice and do what we are doing i.e winning games.

Its a good question.

I could not fault him if he did, as long as its not like adebayor at arsenal.

Yep. It's his job to score for Galatasaray now.

That celebration still makes me cringe even now.

I can understand why he did it, but my goodness! I think it showed his complete lack of class. Celebrate by all means (i don't quite understand the shelvy embarrassing raising of the hand against LFC last weekend) but don't nearly incite a riot!

I would love it if he didn't, but would understand if he did, as long as its fairly muted.

He left because we wouldn't offer him a two year extension (we offered him a one year contract extension) He joined Anelka at Shanghai but they had internal problems with one of their major shareholders withdrawing his backing.
He didn't want to play for any other Premiership club (there were offers) because of his loyalty to Chelsea fans, and he rejected Juventus and AC Milan to join Galatasaray..presumably because he would have more chance of gaining a permanent place in the team and the opportunity of Champions League football.

Great player, Chelsea legend. I would expect him to celebrate if he scores, it's not being disrespectful to us.

Someone should show Drogba what Mourinho REALLY thinks about him.

Drogba is a diver, says Mourinho

"Drogba, Ronaldo, Torres and Van Persie are the divers. Who dives more?

I am no longer Chelsea coach and I do not have to defend them any more, I think it is correct if I say Drogba is a diver.
