Alex is there too. I never did understand why we got rid of him.

Only after AVB decided to freeze him out, wasn't it? Same with Anelka?

Not a bad tie for the Q/F, could have been better perhaps but could have been a lot worse. Gives us a decent chance of progression, especially with the return game at the Bridge.

With any luck Ibrahimovic will fully disappear up his own arse before our matches against them. Can't have too much further to go......

Liverpool fan here, just popping by to wish you guys all the best in your tie against PSG. I said similar words of support in the United thread. Rivalries aside, I wish all British teams the very best of luck on the European stage.

van Ginkel's been playing for the U21 side tonight, good to hear that he's making progress on the road to recovery.

With Ramires suspended tomorrow I wonder if we'll see Luiz back in midfield alongside Matic? Hope so.

Fingers crossed. If so, I wouldn't even be too bothered about losing Ramires - a few games out of the side might do him some good.

That's very nice of you!

Well done to your team on their performances this sesaon, and especially your manager who's doing a brilliant job so far!
It's good for the Premiership to have Liverpool back in the mix again!

Once again, this is why we can't take Arsenal seriously as title challengers.

It could have gone better if the right player had been sent off as Gibbs was playing gash.

Unbelievable, we must have the worst set of referees in Europe. First the moron seemed to miss Oxlade Chamberlain diving like a keeper to save the ball with his hand, then he sends off the wrong player !

Still, it's nice to be able to sit back and relax for the rest of the game

Definite penalty, but why is it a red card?

Should every handball in the penalty area result in a red card?

Not every handball, but there was no grey area about that one. Deliberate dive and save, quite a good piece of goalkeeping actually.
