I don't know. What are his future plans ? I would like to see him stay on in some compacity. But perhaps he wants to go into media work...The Frank and Christine Show.

JT was sruggling to make that clearing header, but to me it looked like he could have just left it ?

Unlucky not to be in front with the Hazard shot that came back off the post. I expected PSG to be better than they have been.

No, they started well but after they scored it was nearly all Chelsea. Lavezzi Looks a handful though, and for some reason we look a bit shaky on crosses/corners.
Glad we didn't sign Cavani on what we've seen tonight, and Luiz is doing a great job on Ibrahimovic. Schurrle is working hard, but I'd bring on Torres.

Brilliant. Top first half performance, nothing to show for it.

Luiz once again showed why he frustrates us so much. Stupid free-kick to concede for their second.

3-1 down. Been here before against Napoli of course. We can still turn this around. Hopefully Eto'o will be available next week.

Result was not the best (but not awful) but the performance was very good.

I think we will face this team quite often in the next few years as both of us are looking like we are going in the right direction.

Second Leg is going to be tough but that's not a new thing for us.

Really? I thought we were decent enough in the first half, but quite flat in the second half (even aside from the goals conceded) bearing in mind PSG weren't exactly firing on all cylinders either. I can't even remember us carving out a decent chance or really threatening them after the break.

That's true, we wouldn't be Chelsea if we did things the easy way.

Shocking defending for all 3 goals. The sad thing is that PSG showed they are hardly world beaters.
I wonder if tonight has decided the future of Cortois ?

I'm not that happy by the performance, ok first half but pretty awful second half. The Schurrle upfront diddnt work and Torres is just absolutely terrible, and Jose doesn't fancy Ba at all.

Really disappointing and in the course of a few days we could be out of the CL and out of the race for the league. Season over? Our away form is terrible, since the away man city game we have only won one away game in 7 .. Shocking

Maybe. 1 away win in 7, plus the return of early season defending.

I don't understand Mourinho's reluctance to give Ba a shot. He's nowhere near a world class player, but he's still a decent age with a good goalscoring record. Has to be better than Torres or Schurrle up-front.

"I'm not happy with my strikers' performances so I have to try things. And with Andre at least I know we have one more player to have the ball, one more player to associate with the other players, and even not being dangerous because he's not a striker."

"He can associate and the team can have control of the ball possession like we had. But football is not just about that. It’s also about scoring goals, getting behind, and that is for strikers. Real strikers. And I had to try. It's difficult for us to score goals, especially when the games are tight. It's difficult for us to transform the half-chances into chances."

And my favourite quote....

"I thought Fernando could give us <long, awkward silence> a bit more"

Jose buried Torres last night!

I look @ chelsea and the team is too reliant on Hazard having 8/9 out of 10 games. At this level you need a top striker and Chelsea do not have it.

With regards to where we working towards getting I was pleased with some parts of our play. We know our shortfalls with regards to scoring goals and creating a serious threat and nothing can be done about that until next season. But looking at what we can work on and improve I was pleased with some of the stuff i saw (second half less so I admit but still flashes) I was pleased with Willian's performance thought he played really well. We was undone by some major (and silly) mistakes from a defensive point of view and I am not worried about that since we know how good we are there so am willing to write it off as one of those things.

PSG was not fireing on all cylinders but they are still a pretty handy team and are much like us in our first season in the Champions League under The Tinkerman (when if we did not win it we should have had least got to the final)

Both teams are a work in a progress and I think they are slightly further ahead then us at the moment and although that showed in the game I dont think as much as it could have been. I think we have a better idea of how to get to where both teams want to be.

Said it before we are going to face this team many many times in knockout stages of the Champions League and ok they won the first battle but thats all it was

I dont think we have even seen a 5/10 games from Hazard yet.

The striker problem is nothing new and has been the issue for for at least 3 years. Sadly we did not have anyone working higher up at Chelsea doing a good enough job to sort it out, Hopefully (and I am pretty sure a deal has been done) that has changed

Poor result, but lets face it neither of these teams will win the CL.

It would not surprise me if we saw the winner in the final and from there anything can happen.

Both teams are more then able to combat the strengthes of the remaining teams and take advangate of their weaknessess.

Aside from the defensive error that resulted in their goal, I thought we were excellent in the first half. But I did say at half time that we looked uncharacteristiclly vulnerable on crosses. Petr Cech had one of his rare poor performances.
To an extent I thought the Schurrle "experiment" was working. Not as a goal threat obviously, but we were closing them down quickly in their own half and they were giving the ball away cheaply. A lot of that was down to Schurrle's energy, along with Willian, Hazard and Oscar of course.
But Laurent Blanc is no fool and he rectified that at half time, so we had a different game. We were no longer on the front foot and PSG started to look like a good side. Torres came on and he was as useless as I've ever seen him. With hindsight Ba would have been a better choice, but that's a gamble you take.
Silly challenge by Luiz, but in fairness defenders usually get away with those little body checks. There was no excuse for the defensive line when the cross came over though, that was just elementary stuff. Just watching on tv, I knew where that ball would go to give us problems. It's a pity because I thought Luiz had a fine first half, he had snuffed out Ibrahimovic completely.
The third goal was a farce. I didn't see any danger at all, we had plenty of cover..perhaps too much ? Everyone was understandably scared to dive in in case they gave away a free kick or even a penalty, and he somehow wriggled his way through and scored. Crazy, but just one of those things.
It's going to be tough now, at 1-2 I would have fancied it, but that third goal was a killer.

Indeed, at 2-1 i think we could have won at the Bridge but its an ask now. We managed it against Napoli but i still think its going to be an uphill battle to get through now.

Rumor has it that spurs are in talks with lukaku for £25m

Whilst i would prefer him to have one season at the bridge, that seems good money.

However i am getting a little tired of us selling and strengthening our rivals.

Mata, Sturridge etc. Should we operate a no selling to rivals policy, like United?

We are not kids in a playground.

As long as we strengthen our team, What our rivals do does not matter.

Anyway how are Spurs a rival? Chelsea are a team aiming to challenge for a league title while I am not sure what Spur's aims are.

There are very few teams that could afford that sort of money, Some he would not want to go to for a number of reasons and some he would.

If we are going to sell any player it should be for the best amount of money

We should operate a 'stop selling players before giving them a proper chance' policy. Especially when it comes to strikers who've had to 'compete' with Torres.
