Didn't see that coming - but a great appointment with Mark.
We need an experienced g/k in the wings, we always have a lot of games to play and there is big gap between Big Pete and the youngsters. Mark will be good with the young g/ks as well. |

Agree with all that. Also completely out of the blue and without weeks of speculation and media frenzy. Nice one Jose.

Yeah gotta agree that hes a good signing, much better than Turnbull and Hilario, with bags of experience. Exactly what we need in a goalkeeper to step in for Cech if he gets injured. I suspect he will have a part to play at some stage whether in the cup or in the league so overall im glad we have him.

I was very much under the impression that he was a coach in all but title. |

Serious, non-snotty question, but does Jose sign the players?

I hope Omeruo and Ake stay on as well. They're ready for the squad and we could use the cover. Not sure about Piazon, Chalobah and MacEachran, but they must be close.

Romeu heading to Valencia on loan. Good move for him, but not for us. Despite the injury I'd still rather have him here than than Mikel.

Agreed. I hope this doesn't mean Mikel's staying put.
Mikel has two teams now interested. Its time to future endeavor him. Chelsea seem to have far too many players on the wage bill who just cannot cut it at the top level, or are surplus to requirements. Romeu needs to be sold, with a follow on/ buy back clause just in-case he makes it big. |

The De Rossi deal is all but completed, if reports are be believed. A fee of around £11m has been agreed. With Roma's alleged capture of Kevin Strootman, the story does seem to make sense.
Some reports say Roma have demanded the loan of Brazilian teenage full-back Wallace as part of the deal. I'm guessing he would have been loaned out again anyway, so no big deal ? Not sure what I make of the deal. De Rossi at anything like his best would be a great signing. But he's 29 and would be coming to us on the back of a mediocre season. He's not the player most of us would have had in mind as a defensive midfielder for the future, but Jose has been trying to sign him for years and must know what he's doing. Of course it could all be idle speculation anyway. |

Has he played for anyone other than Roma?
He may struggle to adapt. Lets hope its not a long contract, just in case. Mikkel to go now? |

It is a fact that Mourinho has always been a great admirer of De Rossi, so it wouldn't surprise me too much if it turns out to be correct. Also, we haven't been linked with any other defensive midfield players recently, which I was beginning to find strange as its been our biggest weakness for a couple of seasons. |

Chelsea will subsidise costs for supporters travelling to a select number of Premier League matches next season.
Blues fans looking to attend the games at Manchester United (August 26), Everton (September 14), Newcastle (November 2) and Sunderland (December 4) will benefit from the cut-price travel options, the club announced on their official website. The move follows the ethos adopted by many German clubs in recent years and is designed to reward the travelling supporters, who often spend large chunks of their income following their team over the course of a season. Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have been heavily criticised for their high ticket prices in recent years, with season ticket fees at the three top London clubs generally the highest in the Premier League. |

The owner is only worth £2billion. Unless he is willing to pump half his fortune into making Fulham the 6th best team in the league, its just not worth it.

How far did Chelsea finish ahead of Arsenal and Spurs, last year? How many 'billions' have they spent? You finished 6th, the year before. Money is massively important, of course, but all of the money in the world doesn't guarantee success. |

money doesnt guarantee success but you cannot have success without monry. fulham have nothing. to make them champions would take hundreds of millions. to believe otherwise is incorrect.
we finish sixth because we were busy winning the biggest trophy in the sport. how soon people forget the facts. |
