One year deal, knows where the goal is, No fee knows Jose etc.

Not much else out there in terms of time left and not spending silly money.

Still convinced we will go back in for Rooney at the end of the season

Wages are going to be high though, dunno if he's the right signing but only a stopgap I guess

Demba ba will surely be the next to leave after that deal, Newcastle a likely destination.

Wages will be about the normal for a player of his experence and level and no where near what he was on for his prevous club (have heard his former club have given him a million to make up for it), Doubt it be much different to what we would have paid Rooney if we got him

Last I saw we are paying him £130k per week.

Ba linked with Newcastle on loan....can't see him going back there after only half a season away.

I don't think anyone thinks it's the perfect answer to our problems. But I can't help being quite excited about the prospect.
Eto'o was a fantastic player in his prime, it will be interesting to see what he has left. His goals/games ratio has remained very good, but obviously in a lower class of football.
Who knows, the guy may want to leave the game with a flourish, playing against the best in the world. If anyone can motivate him, Mourinho can.

See you guys have just signed Eto on a 1 year deal.

I'm happy with Eto'o, he'll score goals and hopefully help rather than hinder Lukaku's development. He'll also not expect any star treatment at this stage in his career and already has a good working relationship with Jose. Good buy.

Can't complain at that, probably the easiest draw we could have hoped for.
Arsenal have a tough one, no real "group of death" this time though..unless you're a Celtic fan.

Cant complain with that, although we still have to be careful, complacency in the CL will be our downfall. Most people expected us to cruise our group last year and look what happened... I guess we dont have Shaktar / Juventus this time though. Basel could be a tricky game. as could Schalke away. But overall we should be fine in this group.

Back to Etoo, i probably agree with others that hes a decent signing, especially on a free. Should do a decent job and bag some goals. Hes a natural goalscorer, just hope he isnt too old for the Premier League but he seems to be fit. Ba is probably a goner now... Although id prefer if Torres was shipped out(wont happen).

Anyone else still puzzled by the Willian signing... If Mata is staying i reckon Moses will leave(loan or sold), and i still think KDB could be loaned out again(although Jose has been using him recently). Either that or Mata will be sold.

Happy with Swindon in the League Cup.

Happy with our CL group. We despatched Steaua and Basel in the Europa last season, so should have no problems there, we'll already know plenty about them. And Schalke is as good as we could have wished for out of the Pot 2 teams, aside from Marseille perhaps. Hopefully we'll get the job of qualifying done early.

And happy with the signing of Eto'o on a free transfer.

All in all, not a bad day!

After last season, nice to have a favourable one this time.

If Torres or Mikel sign a new deal tonight I'm blaming you for being positive.

That would be odd, as Mikel signed a 5 year deal last Christmas!

Could not ask for more with that draw.

Just knew where Celtic would end up, but hey, they got out of that tough group last year!!

Arsenal are in big trouble with that group.

Ello, your club has many fine players, we have so few. We have lovely stadium, good for peoples to watch the football, perhaps you have players could come for season ? We feed well and look after them, maybe even buy if cheap.
Thank you blues people, I know you very kind.

I just hope our performance is better than last year's dismal showing against Atletico
