Can't really fault our Premiership form, played 8, won 5, drawn 2, lost 1. Only a couple more games and a quarter of the season will be gone, doesn't time fly ? After that, one or two teams usually start to break away, we have to make sure one of them is us.
I still don't think Arsenal will go the distance and actually win the title, same applies to Spurs and Liverpool. Man United need to get their act together fast or they will be out of it. Man City remain our biggest threat..in my opinion.
Agreed, though arsenal are first they will fall away at some point, we have done pretty well to end up 2nd so far and if we can beat man city next game we will look pretty good for a title shot
I think we've done pretty well really (Everton result aside). We've won all of our home games so far, and have already played a few of the bigger teams away. Arsenal have had an easier start in terms of fixtures, that's for sure.
I agree though that at this stage Man City are still the team I see as our biggest threat, and we really need to win next weekend to put a bit more daylight between us and them.
It's good having a manager who can react to things in the game, rather than one who makes almost all of his subs by the clock, isn't it?
Yesterday did remind once again though why I'm not convinced at all by Luiz playing centre-back.
Eto'o: Nice to see a striker scoring a strikers goal at the bridge for once.
Hazard: 2 Goals and hopefully an increase in confidence. What a player.
Oscar: The player of the season. What a goal. Fantastic.
Cech: Still on top form.
Negatives:
Luiz: Had a stinker, too casual and gave the ball away far too many times.
Gutted that Bertrand has been left out tonight, he hasn't done anything wrong whenever he has been asked to fill in for Cole so this is strange one for me.
^ Yeah, either Mou is trying to mind f*ck the opposition or he really doesn't trust Bertrand. Cole isn't going to be around forever and if we're starting a RB at LB, then it's time we started looking for a long term replacement for Ash. Although, I think Bertrand is more than capable of stepping in for him.
