The only reason I dont see this being true is the Mata part, There is no way they would turn down such a deal unless they know the Fabrigras signing is a done deal.

Can I see Chelsea making a offer like this? Yep although I would not agree with it, I can see it making some sense, Would get the deal done and dusted by the end of the week with little cash outlay. Maybe the stuff about Mata not bonding with other players rumoured in the past are actually true? That is something Jose would not stand for, We all know his teams are built on unity.

Luiz will always divide people, Personally for me I would be more upset by Luiz leaving as I just got this feeling that the guy is going to be something really really special.

Lets talk facts they just won the title without even breaking sweat, They have kept the same players etc, There is no actual evidance they will go backwards, Even if they did slip from last seasons performance they would have to slip a hell of a long way. If anyone is going backwards its Chelsea, We struggled to get 3rd, We struggled to win the Europa cup and had to huff and puff our way though the last two seasons, This are all facts.

So what the press make us favs? What the hell have they got to do with anything?

We have added players to a team that struggled to finish 3rd Utd have kept the players that won the league and will add to them (have already in fact), Utd are a team with a long term plan, Chelsea long term plans are do we put the managers name on the track suit before Xmas or save some cash.

I don't think for a second Utd are going backwards. Yes, this is a massive season for them, a brand new manager, but I don't think for one second, that they won't be right up there challenging for the title again this year.

They have just lost that. Gone. never to be replaced. This will have a massive impact on their club.

Let's be honest here though, if we had a striker that could score league goals last season we would have pushed United all the way. Our Strikers scored 10 goals between them in the league last season, that's got to be one of the worst in the league surely.

If Jose doesn't want Luiz then sell him abroad. He's only going to get better so the last place I want to see him is in a united shirt.

Adding players like Lakaku could change that I agree but at the same time teams will play differently against Chelsea then they did against West Brom (where he was not a first team player), Where as adding a player of Rooneys class would more then likely make a difference. I all for taking risks but banging on like some people do about ages/styles of players dont win us leagues (or put us 2/3 points off), Rooney has what 4 league titles under his belt? and if he stays at Utd he will have a couple more (no matter what some posters think) and at the end of the day thats what counts not age or the style they play, Football is a sport not sports entertainment (Please dont let us sign John Cena)

It was not only that, Our defense was okish at best, Our midfield had plenty of skill but lacked bite. We had alot of problems and while the strikers was a massive part of it I agree we have alot more issues to deal with if we are to get within single points of the title

But lets take you view as the issue, Can not Rooney score league goals?

He does....he is an enigma.

He did great for us in the EL...but it's in the league we need him banging in 20 + goals!!

IMO, the only reason why they challenged for the title last season was heavily down to Fergie. On paper, they had arguably one of their weakest squad in years yet they were still light years ahead of us and Man City in terms of points on the board. Fergie knows how to get the best out of his players and they all work as a unit -something we failed to do last season. How many times did Lamps or Mata save our arses last season? That's why Jose is the most important signing we've made this season. He makes his players feel like winners just like Fergie does and can Moyes replicate that? Time will tell but if we get our act together, we have a real shot of winning the PL this season.
