Even if that was true what makes them think an Arsenal game would give them more ratings than showing a Chelsea game ?

Tricky game tomorrow.

Away derby and we didn't do great there last season....

Coupled with not great performances against Newcastle and West Brom....we BADLY need 3 points.

Nando will be in the squad for tomorrow.

They've got more UK-based fans than us? They might also have looked at the fact that Arsenal are in greater need of a result against Marseille than we are against Basel as we'll still be in the driving seat to top our group even if they beat us.

Saying that, Basel vs Chelsea would surely be a bit more appetising to neutrals than Arsenal at home to a poor Marseille side where the result should really be a formality?

Think I'd keep Eto'o in the starting line-up after scoring 3 goals in the last 2 games, Torres on the bench.

I think that is debatable, we have grown a massive fan base over here since the arrival of Abramovich.

You would be mad to support Arsenal these days

I've given up trying to second guess Jose. It wouldn't have been my selection, but that probably means we'll play great and win comfortably.

I'm not going to lie, i am not impressed with that line up. Hopefully i am proven wrong but if Ramires is on the wing then you have got to question it. Ramires on the wing doesn't work, we have tried it time and time again and it always fails.

Lampard needs a good game, if he doesn't improve today then Mourinho MUST drop him.

No Mata again
Just seen the ref as well. Oh dear.

Not even a card for the goalie

Comfortable so far, but I'm still wondering how many goals we'd have to score before I stop worrying.

Yeah even at 2-0, one goal and they are back in it. Although generally pleased with the way we played so far and West Ham look a mess at the moment, Sam will need to work a miracle to get anything from this game

Pleasantly surprised with that first half. I thought Ramires would be on the wing but that isn't the case which is good to see. I didn't like the formation but i didn't expect it to work this well, it's nice to be proven wrong on this occasion.

This has been much more like Lampard. This is what happens when you play him forward a bit, it's a complete transformation.

Agreed.

Good win, very good performance (mostly). I looked away when it started to get awkward and missed the 3rd goal

Well that was perfect really.

A change of formation and we get Lampard performing 10x better, Oscar on fire, Hazard confusing players by moving from one wing to the other, the defense rock solid and a clean sheet. Mourinho got it spot on, and if there is one man i want proving me wrong it's him.

Good result and performance today. Just what we needed to put us back on track.

Oh well, that's me proved wrong..I'm pleased to say.
The team selection and formation worked, we never looked in trouble, it was all too easy really.
Oscar was outstanding, he never gave up closing players down, I gave up on the number of times he stole the ball from opponents in their half. It's really no wonder Mourinho rates him so highly, that's just what any manger wants to see.
We maybe shouldn't read too much into the game though. West Ham were truly awful, particularly in the first half.

That's true. Them not having a striker on the pitch before the 40th minute did make life somewhat easier for our defence.

Was catching up on the rest of the footy on MOTD earlier, nice to see Lukaku proving a nuisance for Liverpool again.

Busy month coming up! Need to beat Basel this week so the Steaua fixture becomes a dead rubber game to us.

Good to see that Man U slipped up today.

Jumping ahead rather optimistically, our last six games look promising. Apart from Liverpool (away) we have Stoke, Swansea, Sunderland, Norwich and Cardiff.
Let's hope we are still in with a chance In April/May.
