People who pronounce the word 'crisps' as "chris". My mother does this and it drives me mad!

When you buy pre-packed meat from the supermarket the cooking instructions are on the back of the plastic packing so you can't read them unless you open it. This annoys me very much even though I know how to cook most meat I buy.

I also hate the little plastic tapes used to twist close bread packaging. It's pretty well impossible to open bread packed like this without tearing the plastic, as the tape can't be removed cleanly.

When someone starts a thread on DS and makes a spelling mistake in the thread title and someone hurries in to the thread to post the inevitable "Ooohhh what's <whatever the misspelt word is> ?? Is it anything like <the correctly spelt word> ???" as if they're the first person to ever think of that and that they also think they're hilariously funny for mentioning it as well.

This sentence reminds me of an annoyance of mine.

Whenever I need to write down the word "spelt" it takes me ages to decide whether it's correct or not. Is it spelt, or is it spelled?!?!? Or neither??

Neither of them seem to look right to me. Though apparently "spelt" is more of a UK usage and "spelled" more of an American one. Both are, apparently acceptable.
