Not just that, but the use of apostrophies when they're aren't needed and then show everybody that they don't know how to use them. (Case in point: a sign in a shop in Peterborough last December: "Two snowmen are standing in a field, when one turns to the other and says can you smell carrot's?" I was half-tempted to go in there and ask what they could smell of carrot's. There were also no speech marks either - and the bad thing is that my Polish friend spotted both mistakes.)

Had it happen to me on here once and somebody already mentioned it: people who go and read your previous posts and then use them against you.

My college expecting us to all know that we weren't starting today (as orginally stated) but next week by finding out from my friend. Surely they should have been ringing everyone themselves or emailing instead of expecting my friend to spread the word. Luckily she managed to tell our half of the group (we're merging with another group this year)....wonder if the others found out

But yes, was very annoyed about it and still am. Also because I was all ready to start again today, hadn't been sleeping well until last week and various other reasons. We've now been off almost TEN WEEKS!

I saw an ad on the side of a bus today for some car shop or other, stating "Thousand's of cars". ON THE SIDE OF A BUS. Spreading their illiteracy throughout London.

In Scotland, there's the additional thinking time word - 'emm'. Used by politicians, trades unionists, punters being interviewed on telly, radio phone in participants, tele-sales persons etc.

PC World used to (maybe still do) have a banner over the Support Desk announcing proudly "All Make's Of PC" - somehow this had got past the original writer, the team that approved it, the ad team that created it and the dept that printed a few hundred to hang in every store. Unbelievable.

People who yank the car handbrake up as if it's about to attack, at the same time failing to push the button to disengage the ratchet. People who think that the law states I am the only person who can order paper and cartridges in the office, and that no-one else can do so when I am an annual leave. People who think that the law states I am the only person who can recycle cartridges (this simply requires you to leave the cartridge in the post tray!) and that no-one else can do so when I am on annual leave. The person who begrudgingly does these things out of the kindness of their heart for me when I am on annual leave, and sends me a sarcastic email to let me know, as if it if the worst possible thing in the world she could ever have to do.

When adults say they were "shouted at" if someone disagrees with, or criticises, them. It sounds so infantile and "poor little me".

When people correct irrelevant details in their stories. "I was in town today, about 11:30, 11:40 or so, or maybe it was 11:45, not sure, but probably before 12..." "There's a woman in my office, she's about 50, or I suppose she could be about 55, hard to tell..." GET ON WITH THE STORY!

People not being aware of other whilst walking around especially in shopping areas and supermarkets.

I also hate when telling a story and something might have happened at 11.37 but I say around 11.30 just for handiness and for the sake of getting on with the story and a person who was with me buts in and goes "I thought it was 11.35!" I reply "Yea ok maybe it was" and try and continue but then they keep going on about it and the poor sap we're inflicting this tale on has lost interest

I got myself so annoyed with the smarmy youngster working in the shoe shop. He had the audacity to smirk at me as he tried to make me out to be a liar by telling me they don't send texts on a Sunday when I did get a text on Sunday to say some childrens shoes were instore. So I went today and he looked at the order and said they were in, he looked out the back and then said they weren't in. Then the manager looked and said they were despatched but hadn't arrived. I told the smarmy youngster to give the correct information and don't say they are in when they aren't in He then smirked some more as I shook with anger, I told him don't smile at me like that I was so annoyed. I think a previous order had not been marked as collected and so a text was sent.
In this case as a customer, am I in the right to get annoyed?
I won't be going in there anymore and to make matters even worse I heard someone say "that woman" as one of the sales assistant came out of the back room. So they had been talking about me also.

Also last week when I had phoned up about a previous order I was waiting for (which has turned out to be the wrong size even though my son's feet had been measured in the shop, so had to order other sizes which was the reason why I had gone today to see if any fitted) the manager had shouted at me to speak up, he couldn't hear me as the shop as busy. Well he heard me today didn't he
