When someone impersonates another person shouting but does it in a quiet voice. Normal volume with an angry tone would suffice but people do that really quiet, almost whispering voice. I know what I mean! Of course there's probably no better way of doing it without seeming weird by actually shouting!

Parents who use a hateful, gravelly voice to shout "Get here!" at their young children when out and about. I hate that. What's wrong with "Come here" - isn't it nasty enough?

When you get to a checkout at the same time as someone with a massive weekly shop and they push ahead of you, even though all you want is a jar of coffee and some lemons

Similar thing, when you go shopping, only want a few things like some bloody scourers and something in the reduced section you can freeze, and the till queues are full of old ladies with massive baskets, and someone still pushes in front of you to "natter" to their mate in the queue

Agree, hate people on Amazon who review like that, people were giving the 4th Layton game (on the 3DS) one star because "it doesn't work on a DS"
Amazon really should moderate reviews before posting.

Or give something a 1 star review in protest at Amazon's tax avoidance. As if it's going to make a difference to Amazon.

Morons who think the overtaking lanes on motorways are there to allow them speed unhindered to their destination; and who blare their horn, flash their lights and drive up the arse of any driver who dares to use it for its proper purpose while failing to maintain a speed of 200mph.

I had to work through that bit a few times to get at the meat!

For me, another is people on DS who "sign off" their posts. Fine if they want to, it's up to them, and it is trivial. But it annoys me and, in all honesty, makes me think just that little bit less of them.

Some annoying people are funny because do they try to be annoying but they aren't so it must be funny for them to try to be annoying.

Yes, it's a bit silly when their user name is right next to the post. I use another message board where one user signs off every post with:

Regards

[user name]

Yeah, well the person it was directed at has a bit of a reputation of using various members when he feels like it, chewing them up, and then spitting them out, so I hope it was worth it for you

I hate that too, or when people give low stars for any other subjective reason. For example, because a pair of shoes are too narrow for their feet, or a dress is too tight at the waist. Not really the product's fault as it can't possibly be the right shape and fit for everyone!

People who just cannot hurry, no matter how much inconvenience they're causing everyone else.

Also arriving at an ATM and thinking 'great, only one person ahead of me' and then that person stays there for ages putting different cards in and out and scrutinising every receipt.

All this Amazon talk has reminded of the time I went to buy the then new Call of Duty game, I went on to check reviews and half of them were by people who hadn't recevied their game on the day of release even though they'd pre-ordered, silly things like "I'm giving this 1 star cos' amazon didn't deliver on time".
So you're giving amazon a one star review when really you should be leaving a review of the DAMN GAME! And it isn't Amazon's fault that Royal Mail sucks.

Lumme.

While I agree with the sentiment behind:
Quote:
“makes me think you're a bit simple that you think you know what forum user name users real names really are”

there was no need to be insulting and so ungracious. It's only a lighthearted thread. Next time, feel free to use the Alert button rather than a string of uncapitalised and nigh-on totally unpunctuated words.

Not really sure exactly what you mean by the bit in bold, but then I don't particularly care.

They are morons! I rate such reviews as unhelpful whenever I come across one, but there definitely should be a way of flagging or reporting them so they can be disregarded or removed so they don't count towards the overall score.

I think you might genuinely have confused me with someone else. I'm female and have never had any interaction with people on the boards beyond the posts in my history. Otherwise I'm confused what you're referring to.

The ones that annoy me in product reviews are:

(1/5) - Arrived in bad condition, scratched and torn. Seller wouldn't reply to my emails. Avoid!

Or

(5/5) - My nephew loves it! He says he hasn't stopped using it since he got it!!!

Idiots.

Yep.

No wonder so many overall review scores are skewed.

This from Heinz

Quote:
“Q: Do I need to refrigerate Ketchup?
A: Because of its natural acidity, Heinz® Ketchup is shelf-stable. However, its stability after opening can be affected by storage conditions. We recommend that this product, like any processed food, be refrigerated after opening. Refrigeration will maintain the best product quality after opening.”

You're both right...probably. I say whoever pays for it has the final say.

Heinz are just covering their asses in this compensation and germ-scared age

Ketchup should not be cold. Ever. There is nothing worse than going for it and finding it in the fridge - I actually decant it and pop it in the microwave so as not to ruin my dins
