Cat wandering into neighbourhood and attacking my cat

Hi

A cat who lives outwith our immediate neighbourhood keeps coming round and attempting to attack my cat. One of the other local cats saw him off the other day but he was back again this morning. Can't get near him as he runs away as soon as he sees someone coming, any ideas how to keep this cat away? I can't open the cat flap and give my cat freedom as someone needs to be in the house to listen for any nonsense! Need to get this sorted before it starts to get cold as I don't fancy keeping doors and windows open during the winter listening out for cat trouble! Will invest in a long range water pistol (need to be long range as he scoots off very quickly if he sees you coming) - any other ideas?

Silent Roar Lion Dung.

Your own cat might not like it either so you may have to keep it indoors until the wanderer gets the message to sod off.

I wish I could just put this on my cat to keep the other cat well away!
