Yayy part 2 of the thread finally. About their second single..it needs to be stronger than carry you tbh. Im happy they've taken their time to choose sth and just not rushed ahead. I hope it sounds completely different to carry you with better songwriting but still with the potential for mass appeal

And what's a Union J appreciation thread without Josh drama lol. Apparently those fans managed to get him to storm off in anger yesterday, after hassling him about Chess Jones. I do think they should just let it drop now. For every way he's made a mountain out of a molehill they are matching him in their reaction to his being dishonest. And one of them describing it as 'confronting' him about the matter made me laugh. I didn't realise he had to be answerable to them now lol. But a bunch of 16/17 year olds making him storm off in front of quite a few others and also George, JJ and Jaymi really does make him look idiotic and stupid. It probably really showed the other three up as well. So I can't really say he hasn't behaved like a petulant child about it all by the sounds of it.

I kind of feel sorry for Jaymi and JJ though (especially the latter). George is still getting a lot of attention but Josh is getting the lion share of it now in my opinion. Between his continuous twitter presence, the shirtless pictures and the also continuous drama it's slowly becoming Josh show featuring the other three (at least in the context of their immediate fanbase).

Yay! Part 2 - but of all the posts to continue from they had to pick mine with just about the only time I've ever said anything negative about them! Normally I am wittering on about how much I love Jaymi or how beautiful JJ is lol. Oh well!

Really hope we get info on the new single soon, I'm looking forward to it. It seems like ages since Carry You came out but thinking about it it's only been just over a month. I think August would be a good time to release it.

I agree that August would be a good time to release the next single. I'm thinking a great summery pop/dance anthem would be very welcome right now!

A bit off topic but I find it weird how they seem the only 2012 act really out there (at least musically - Rylan has a pretty big tv presence I've noticed). I haven't seen anything from any of James Arthur, Jahmene (despite his album coming out in just under a fortnight) or Ella for a really long time now.

I've changed my mind on wanting a ballad for the second single, I think a really upbeat dance song for this hot summer would be great! Then the big ballad for single number 3 in the autumn leading into the album launch.

I wonder if you will be able to order signed copies of the book?

It does seem like they are the only act from last year's X Factor "out there" (despite Rylan obviously who IMO is doing a great job on Big Brother's Bit On The Side).

I wouldn't mind something that sounds like something Lawson would release, with a bit of a Union J twist.

Speaking of singles, I really want them to go abroad for the video of the next one. It'd be nice to have something a bit sunny.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't actually own any Lawson songs but I like them when I hear them on the radio or the video channels. Something like Learn To Love Again would be good.

And I second the foreign video shoot suggestion, we might get some shirtlessness!

I also noticed that yesterday District3 were putting up videos of their bums. I'm really glad that UJ don't do anything like that. I have no desire to see any of them (despite now having seen the crack of Josh's ) , and I'd rather they stayed tasteful and keep themselves covered up to be honest. I really hope that if they do get to number one with this next single, they renege on the whole naked photoshoot idea. Though no doubt some magazine, probably Heat, will more be than happy to take the picture.
