Good luck to Tony, if the scriptwriters had stuck to one personality then perhaps Tyler could have worked out better.

Leaving before Michael then... which leads me to think Michael won't be killed off.

But I think his Soap career is over!
After all the negatives critics on here, twitter and facebook, no one would touch him with a barge pole after his stint on EastEnders,

Maybe we'l see him in a episode of Casualty!

Haha . I'm sure the punters will be queuing up for Tony's autograph . He'll have to sign the autographs on pieces of fish .

On a serious note, good luck to the guy. I never really hated Tyler to be honest. It was just his lack of a strong character arc that was the problem. The acting wasn't the greatest either, but let's face it - soaps are full of bad actors. The writers ultimately failed him.

Good looking lad but that's about all he brought to the show. The writers never bothered giving him anything to do, well nothing of interest anyway.

He wasn't given a fair crack of the whip

Sure he's not the best actor by any stretch , and he will be the first to admit that. But I have seen worse on this show .
Good luck to the bloke .

I respect him for bagging himself Jac Jossa at work .

Exactly, plus the abrupt character changes early on in his stint didn't do much to endear the character to the fans. A character like Michael can get away with it, because of the strong actor, but Tony didn't really stand a chance.

Good luck to him!

True. I would agree with that. I just don't understand why they bring these characters if they aren't going to do anything with them in the first place. I know they're for eye candy, but I don't see the point in bringing in characters that do nothing and disappear after a few months or a year. I mean don't the writers plan in advance? Don't they have a "character plan" worked out? When I was studying screenwriting at uni, one of the first things they told us about serial drama writing is that you should always have a plan in place for incoming characters.

I mean even in HO, male eye candies such as Dodger get some decent storylines to get stuck into. In EE, they just stand around looking gormless and doing nothing much.

It's a bit odd, TK, that's for sure, but the only thing I can think of is that BK did have a plan but he had to go 'lite' after the baby swap thing and scrapped whatever plan was in place and replaced it with a watered down version of the character, that the audience turned against . Plus the rubbish with Whitney, where a genuinely nice guy was hurt by both of them, damaged him a lot more (Whitney too).

That being said, it probably wouldn't surprise me if there was no character plan/story in place and he was just hired 'cos of his looks.
