I thought the standard was very high. The problems might be the ratings, or the lack of projects to back in the finals . The best people seem all to be en route to good universities. It was also an advert for some top private schools, and quite a worrying commentary on a few state ones.
There may also be something about programming as the 3 MasterChef series a year, the adult Apprentice and SCD, seem a bit crowded and shunted into odd places around the schedules some years.
