I see Drama is nearing the end of the mad era of The Bill. Only about another month or so to go, then some sense of reality starts to return.

Still some silliness left to come, but I generally found the 2005 episodes to be a little less tedious overall, than 2003-2004 (with the exception of the explosion & Honey/Scott nonsense). Some surprising episodes too, ie. an episode that recently aired which had characters other than Terry & Ramani doing actual police work.

My SKY box has recorded Ep 43 then 45 then 47 on Drama, what's all that about. Did they skip 44 and 46, is my box broke or are they showing them out of order?? (naturally it's on series link). Damn annoying!

until someone else can confirm otherwise, im guessing some sort of rights issue has reared its ugly head. IIRC it wasnt on catchup for ages because of rights, then suddenly it vanished again. Assuming your problem wasnt a regular cockup, which i think has happened before, maybe there are some arguements going on behind the scenes? Possibly involving actors who dont feel they have been properly? (think dvd releases for example)

Cheers for that, thought I was going mad!

They were showing 2 fresh episodes each day this week; although there wasn't an episode on Friday (New Years Day).

I too was disappointed in the way the Honey and Scott storyline ended.

Back to relative normality tomorrow with an early show at 7.10am repeated at 11 am with the next episode at 12. Looks like this continues for at least this week.

They were showing two episodes a week last week, back to back, but ridiculously they were not connected by series link. So it would only record the hour you linked up.

I missed one because of this (and it's not on their website) before realising and doubling up the series link.

All have been broadcast.

I have a series link and I got 2 episodes each day except Friday. Didn't think to look at the ep numbers though and we watched 2 each evening so deleted

My bad then for not realising I guess. Thanks anyway

Louis Larson. So now it's Smithys turn for months and months of soppy love (but not really police) drama.

(actually compared to some of the garbage that's gone before it it's not THAT bad if I remember correctly)

Spoiler
Scott confessed to Honey that he killed his wife. Honey ran away to France with him, but only half heartedly, leaving clues on the way. They were holed up in a beachhouse on the South Coast when Scott realised that Honey had "betrayed" him and tried to swim to France (or kill himself presumably). Honey saved him. Scott was arrested and held on remand. Honey returned to Sun Hill, withdrew her resignation and after a couple of words with MIT returned to normal duties. Scott wanted to see Honey and she went to see her loving husband and a couple of minutes after she left he hanged himself (dont blame him to be honest) in his cell. Honey was distraught but is now back on normal duties (presumably). Here endeth the crap storyline.

Tis all true I tell ye ”

Big thanks. So wish they wouldn't mess around with the schedules

Is that the end of Gary Best in The Bill ? , i liked Gary, especially in CID , he was a bit of an idiot at times but he actually did well in a lot of the cases , shame his character has left.

Amber looked gorgeous as Tony's escort

Looks like it but I'm hoping he changes his mind. I also liked Gary. Enjoyed the actor in Shameless as well when he played Mickey.

Glad that Gary got his happy ending - grew into a great character.

Eddie the forensics officer making what seems a customary appearance as a baddie before becoming a regular!

I could have sworn the whole "Adam Okaro - Undercover Cop" storyline lasted for longer than one episode

Okaro in yet another undercover mission, where the viewer wonders if Okoro is dodgy only to find out he is undercover, he is either setting them up or involved in them.

Is it the same actress who plays Jac in Holby City who was Louise Larson?

Really not a fan of that Dan Casper affair with Barrett.

For those that remember PC Melvin (1987-90), the actor Mark Powley is playing another copper in the current series of Birds of a Feather.

Good episode today, police work for a change and an interesting case, the character of Baxter adds to it, the best thing there was no Hunter crap to fast forward through, shame The Bill isnt always like todays

That's why when Fletch turned up on Holby he asked Jac if they'd met

(That's actually true! I read it in an interview.)

I'm not watching on Drama but I always like a reminisce. Is it about 2005?
