The first appearance of Tony Stamp's dad although the actor who played him, John Woodvine had appeared as a different character a few years previously

John Woodvine for me has one of those recognisable faces on TV; yet if someone said his name I wouldn't recognise it.

When's this Ben/Bradley/Terry/Lucy storyline going to end? Bradley's getting on my nerves.

As if that's not bad enough they are still not done with the Smithy/Louise Larson nonsense

I just stumbled across this thread as I've been recording the re-runs on Drama. Is it my imagination or are the episodes censored? In sure in the episode where Gabriel (David) Kent killed himself we originally saw his body fall from the roof? There have also been a couple of other episodes where the action seemed to jump forward. For example, when Dan was held hostage and Smithy was beaten by Pete Larson. Sorry if this has already been covered in the thread.

Yeah they cut the violent bits out, in one episode i remember it being that cut up that i lost track of what was going on because it would cut half a scene and dialogue throughout the whole episode

That's annoying. I understand censoring the daytime broadcasts but the repeat showings at around midnight could be kept the same.

Besides that, I've really been enjoying watching the old episodes. I was one of those people who stuck with The Bill until the bitter end, although I did go off it after series 23 as many of the characters I liked had been axed / left by that point.

I like the way how the writers had Amber leave, she was always written as a useless copper, so for her to resign because she is useless is consistent writing, sometimes, especially Emmerdale characters seem to get a whole new backstory that has never been mentioned before , just to give them a new storyline,

There were some awful storylines over the past year , but at least the characters are well written, ive probably only stuck through the Bill over that period for Gina Gold, Smithy, Meadows, Mickey Webb and a few others, plus i record the ep and fast forward through the rubbish

As has been said yes they censor them and also cut them to bits to fit more ads in so at times it leaves eps very confusing

Over the Easter Weekend, theres a couple of episodes on, which im going to have to record, as they could be new ones judging by the Guide, the 1st ones early hrs Monday morning, 2:40AM, and called Wrong Place and Time, and the second ones the early hrs of Tuesday morning, at the same time, and called Multiplied, then its back to normal from 11AM, as that 11AM episode, is the repeat of Todays 12PM episode, Street Level.

While Hunter and Perkins were chasing that suspect in the hospital they went past a bloke who was being pushed in a trolley/bed.

I'm almost certain it was Athelston Williams who reguarly appeared in the ID Parade round of Never Mind The Buzzcocks

I don't think Street Level at 11am Tuesday, is a repeat of yesterdays 12pm one, so will record both the 11 and 12 ones Tuesday, before im back to normal, and just recording the 12pm ones, as noticed the Street Level one, was on in the early hrs of this morning, at 12:40am.

I think it is as the description on the Sky EPG matches the plot of the episode I saw yesterday.

According the description on Freeview EPG they look like the same episodes that were on last Tues & Weds at midday.

Wrong Place, Wrong Time: Two new faces join the Sun Hill squad - Emma Keane and Lewis Hardy. Valentine and Kapoor are assigned to help them, but Hardy gets off to a bad start. [S]

A Problem Multiplied: More drama from Sun Hill. Terry and Ramani investigate a kidnapping. Okaro organises a drugs bust and selects Hardy to go undercover. [S]

According to my Virgin Media onscreen guide 'Street Level Action' shown at 12pm last Thursday is repeated this Tuesday 11am. It looks like it's business as usual thereafter. The episode numbers seem to be correct.

Best check though just to be on the safe side.
