Can't believe Jo and Stuart fell for the "Come down to the cellar and I'll show you where the passports are" routine! I knew that woman would lock them down there, what a pair of dimlows One should've stayed behind in case anything was going to happen.

We're going to have to report another episode as a MisPer

Tomorrow's episode is Assault On Sun Hill (Part One) and Monday skips the next one and goes straight on to the following episode which is the first one of Season 24

Having had a look at Wikipedia it seems like its another case of Drama not showing it due to violence involved

I realise part 1 introduced the new DS but whats the point of not showing it and not part 2? esp. when the bit at the beginning showed what happened and the ending of the episode.
S23e92 the episode is on dailymotion if anyone wants it.

This is getting stupid now, not showing the 2nd part of a two-parter? Whoever is responsible for the schedule decision-making at Drama should be out of a job!

They should either drop the multi parters completely if they feel they cannot show them all or just show them in a late night ep, UKTV in general is dreadful at this and continuity that often does not match the programme at all

The trouble with that is that events in the multi-parters often have an effect on events in subsequent episodes.

An example of this was the episodes that explained what happened to Lewis Hardy. In those episodes there was a sub-plot of Emma Keane putting in a complaint that Gina Gold had been bullying her.

We didn't see those episodes so it didn't make sense when in a subsequent episode Emma said she wanted to withdraw the complaint as we hadn't seen her make it.

As far as this two-parter is concerned then Drama may feel they have to show the first part as it introduces the new DS because otherwise it would just seem like he had appeared out of nowhere

I don't know why they don't just put the part they can't show on during the day, later, as they repeat about 1am, so could easily drop that repeat for the episode they can't show earlier, and then just have that repeat, still at 11am as normal the next day.

If they are going to miss parts out, then they should not show any of the 2/3 parters at all, as they just don't make sense, like said above about the Keane complaint, i hadn't a clue what was going on there, as i ended up watching the one after the ones that had been missed out, so wondered what had happened to Lewis, and how Emmas complaint came about, as that had come out of nowhere, all made sense when i found from here that they'd missed some out, and then watched them.

Just watched the one with Chrissie from Emmerdale, gangsters moll this time, was a reporter earlier in it

I guess it wont be long before we see that Piers back again either, from The Postman episodes, as that copper

Well they skipped the "Cop Killer" two-parter completely, and that was the first appearance of Sally Armstrong. It was also the first appearance of Billy Rowan, and it was also his last appearance. As far as Drama viewers are concerned Billy Rowan never existed outside of the next time trailer for part 1 and Sally Armstrong appeared out of nowhere.

Coming up we have the "To Catch a Killer" two-parter which they will be showing if the Sky TV Guide is to be trusted, then the day after will be the start of the eight-part story "Witness". Let's see if we get through that one intact.

Having just had a look at the episodes on Wikipedia the very first episode involves someone being shot so that might be dodgy as far as Drama is concerned.

EDIT: According to the Sky EPG Drama will be showing that one after all

This camera work today is driving me mad, it's almost unwatchable with the spinning and swinging from one person to another, zooming in and out really quickly and shaking I'm getting dizzy!

I agree about the camera work in todays ep , it was all over the place , the camera didnt stay still in any scene , it kept switching from close up to close up , it felt like a novice was doing it.

I didnt realise that it was Amandla Crichlow and not Lenora Crichlow in todays episode, i didnt know Lenora had a sister , they look a lot alike

This "Witness" series of episodes feels like the beginning of the end for The Bill.

What on earth possessed them to string out such a dull storyline over seven straight episodes? I find myself fast forwarding through a lot of it.

Agreed! It's bored me from the start, luckily we get to watch it in just over a week this time round.

There was a little Sun Hill CID reunion in last night's Casualty. Christopher Ellison & Russell Boulter were patients - aka DCI Burnside & DS Boulton.

And of course Jaye Griffiths (DI Johnson) is a Casualty regular now.
