Where did you get these, I have up to 1990 complete at the moment.

UK Gold used to show the half hour episodes a few years back, I always thought they were too short at times though.

Best episodes on Drama recently have been Cryer being shot and leaving and the two we've just had with Jack & Chandler at each other's throat's again. I'm looking forward to the 2002 fire and the build up to that story with Conway's car getting firebombed.

I actually thought Stamp become rather less cynical in his last few years and actually the character overall wasn't as good.”

I do love Boyden's character - even though like you say, he was also cynical and was quite vicious sometimes. There was something I liked about Boyden though - I think I found him a much funnier character compared to Stamp and I thought he was a better written character (judging from the era we've seen).

When UK Gold were showing the half hour episodes back to the early 90s they eventually stopped going back too far as they claimed viewing figures were too low so eventually stopped showing the much older episodes.

Perhaps ITV4 could show the older episodes? They don't seem to want to do so though. I'd like a channel to show The Bill from the start in 1984 but I do think that will now never happen.

This looks like it could be decent, though it is listed as Region 4 so not sure if widely compatible in the UK - http://www.ezydvd.com.au/DVD/bill-th...ion/dp/6155403

No idea what episodes it will have though or how many exactly!

And that's followed by the 90 minute episode "Beech On The Run" on 18 August.

Unfortunately Drama have not scheduled the six "Beech Is Back" specials which went out at that point in 2001. Shame. These don't appear to be widely available on DVD either, with only one seller on Amazon offering them and that's in Region 4 format.

Whilst I'd ideally like every episode on DVD, realistically that's going to cost far too much and would take goodness knows how long to watch all of anyway! If the collection has a decent range of episodes I'd be tempted.

Really I think I'd rather watch the 100 best episodes rather than just 100 episodes which happen to come from the same year.

Oh no, I won't get that thought out of my head now. Looking at her, she kinda resembles a mixture of Matt and his wife Emma spliced together!

Strange edit today. Roz, when with the nurse, said "It just makes me feel like cr*p". They edited out cr*p!? A few episodes back they kept in the line when Meadow's said "bullsh*t". So bullsh*t is fine but cr*p's a big no no!! Who decides these edits?

See how I self censored myself there for DS purposes!!! Lol

LOL she does look like Matt and Emma morphed together ,

I don't understand how the editing works on repeats, i don't think Drama edit it, if they do they don't understand what are swear words, and what arent

So, it's agreed that Roz is the love child of Matt and Emma Willis!

As I mentioned earlier, Kate Spears founded the Lily Allen 'look' a few years before Lily was invented! Lol

Gutted that they won't show the Beech specials. Any idea why this is the case? I can't remember what slot they went out on the original screenings.

I don't remember the Beech spin-off ever being shown on repeats of this nature - really it's a separate spin-off, just as the Burnside ones were from 2000 or the various Frontline ones were from 2004-2005.

I noticed there was a reference to Rolf Harris in one of the episodes this week.

Having read a suggestion on another forum, I contacted UKTV about whether they'd do anything to mark 30 years since The Bill proper started in the autumn. They said they would consider it and would look to see how much audience demand there was. Hence if anyone would be interested in seeing something to commemorate the occasion I'd suggest contacting them!

I was surprised they let that one pass

Moira the model in that episode was played by the late Mary Tamm aka the first Romana from Doctor Who and Tristan the artist was played by Bryan Dick who recently appeared as Ernie Wise in the biopic Eric and Ernie

I'm going to contact them - hopefully they will do something. I would like them to dedicate a weekend to The Bill, showing 20 of the best episodes in its history.

Just been catching up, did they miss the first episode of the 2 parter 'Complicity', about the car ringers.

The actor who played the beaten up kid in hospital was recently Ronny Biggs in ITV's Mrs Biggs.

Holly Davidson (Roz Clarke) appears to now be a personal trainer.
