Series 11 Part 1 and 2 arrived in the post for me yesterday, so I've started watching episodes from the beginning of 1995 now.

I haven't got to that episode yet, but I do like Danny Glaze. I just watched Liquid City and a Pound of Flesh.

Liquid City - brilliant episode. I really liked the crime story. Des and Reg are a fantastic double act, and I also loved the series of confrontations between Des and Chandler! The tension between them is fantastic to watch. The way Chandler has been written as a character so far has been fantastic. He's been an enigma, but we are slowly starting to find out more about his mysterious past as the skeletons threaten to come out of the closet. It's subtly done. As well as finding out a little bit more about him, at the same time we are left with more questions and we become more intrigued by him. In a way, Marquess undid all the good work with Chandler's character development, as he made him less subtle and mysterious, and more an obvious pantomime villain.

A Pound of Flesh - this episode started off slow, but really rallied and got more exciting by the end. I've always liked Boyden, so pleased to see the focus back on him again as he tries to help his daughter.”

I like Des and Reg together as well, as much as Des takes the piss out of Reg i do genuinely believe Des likes Reg, in fact i think he is the only person Des likes at Sun Hill.

I felt sorry for Boyden, his daughter is a nightmare, spoilt and stroppy, and along with Vicky Hagen nagging him, he had a tough couple of episodes

Tony O'Callaghan is right up there with the best of the regular actors for me - great comic timing, a real intensity to his performance and he could deliver poignant moments well too. Boyden is probably my favourite ever Bill character.

Why do Drama keep repeating the same episodes? "Beyond the Call" was broadcast twice yesterday and is now on again. A few sundays ago they didn't show any episodes instead putting 'Pride and Prejudice on'. Very annoying.

Did anyone else spot Bruno Toniolli as "Rolf" the dance instructor in yesterdays 12pm episode?

Yeah. She had incriminating info on Chandler but she never got a chance to pass it on.

How far away far from the fire episodes are we?

That period good for spotting how they keep Lisa Geoghan's pregnancy under wraps!

I think DC Spears met him at a Policemans Ball a year previous, and he gave her his number, obviously she didnt fancy him and she never phoned him back, however she found out he used to work with Cork, so she found his phone number he gave her on the back of the Policemans Ball ticket, and phoned him up, i think the poor guy was hoping for a date.

I think its ok, the trouble is for me is Spears, the actress looks dead behind the eyes imo, not sure if this is supposed to be Spears' character or not, or just the actress being poor, but she just isnt a likeabale character and ruins the scenes.

I did also enjoy seeing Roz Clarke dressed up all saucy

was thinking this is the last time we see DS/DI Rawton in the bill , quite liked her as a character , she was way more watchable than some of the current crop of CID , I always got the feeling she was pushed out because her ending was so non descript

Sadly, I have to agree. I usually really enjoy multi-part storylines but this one's just not doing it for me. It's dragging on a bit. It already feels longer than the Amy Tennant storyline...and that lasted a year!

Not sure if it's the story, Kate 'Lily Allen' Spears or the fact that Cork is played by Tristan Gemmill who will always be Adam Trueman from 'Casualty' for me! Cork's just missing a stethoscope!

On a plus, it's great to see Liz Rawton back in her final appearance in the show.

I always found Kate quite attractive to be honest, can't wait to get to the Sun Hill fire, will miss Monroe & Conway when they go though. We are about to have quite a clearout, most of the new CID didn't last 5 minutes, guess it feels even shorter as we are seeing episodes every day and not two a week.
