I wonder if it was pulled on purpose because of the body of that 13yo girl being found yesterday and the current pedo s/l?

Surely if that was the case they wouldn't have shown the episode at all

Well the body was only found yesterday tea time. I only tend to watch the night time eps so not sure if that episode has already aired?

But the body of the girl found yesterday had no suspicious circumstances, so whilst terrible for her family like that nearly every episode would be pulled as something similar may have happened to a family.

Apparently they say it was a technical glitch ( not sure how that cut off last nights ep and removed this mornings) and the full ep will be on the omnibus at weekend.

The writing is bizarre, they sort of force the personal lives of them all on us, whether we want it or not to make it more of a soap, yet they leave out the fact Stamp has got a girlfriend and she is living with him, and now all of a sudden she is written into a storyline and will no doubt be a future storyline because she is an illegal immigrant.

Surely if they wanted Tony to have a girlfriend and for her to be a storyline, then for us to have any interest in it, it might have been more interesting to see him meet her and see how the relationship developed for her to be living with him, rather than just plonk her in the middle of an investigation of theft.

I think there was some stuff edited out of today's episode

Eva's talk with the sex offender seemed to come to a very sudden stop and from what Terry said to Eva towards the end more was said between them

Also when Terry had taken him to the hostel he got a call from Eva saying that she now believed that the posters grassing the offender up had been distributed by his wife. What caused her to come to that conclusion as it seemed to come out of thin air?

Just watching today's episode, haven't watched The Bill in years, cool to see these older ones on Drama. I can't remember that much, but is this around the time with the whole Des thing? And Cathy going mad being obsessed with Brandon?

There is an interview with him here from 2011 where he talks about the axing of The bill and how it had become rubbish, maybe he did not like the route it was taking when he was there

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/...e-paul-3386571

I didn't realise he lost his son last year

http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/e...her-in-4063653

And a bit here on why he may have left The Bill

Paul Usher -Des Taviner- to leave?

http://www.geocities.ws/cwpaul70/bill10.html

Paul Usher who has played The Bill's PC Des Taviner since April
2001 is to leave. Apparently he had an argument with producers because they wanted to draw his
character into the seedy world of prostitution.
Viewers will see him leave dramaticaly after he causes fellow partner PC Reg Hollis
to have an accident. -Hasn't poor old Reg had enough?
I mean he's been arrested for murder,
been kidnapped and now in an accident...-

Hi Jul,

Not sure if you are looking for a particular series or not, but here are the main ones to start you off.

First up, here's the complete set of the 'Originals' - the first three series which were in the original 1 hour format that feature D.I. Roy Galloway and originally aired between 1983 - 1987.

Now, this is where it gets a bit messy. If you want to stick with the Network releases, they released the half-hourly episodes (1988 - 1990 so far...) in volumes:

Volume 1 | Volume 2 | Volume 3 | Volume 4 | Volume 5 | Volume 6 | Volume 7

If you wish to continue from this point on, you'll need to continue your collection with the Shock releases. Here's a few to point you in the right direction:

Series 6 Part 1 (1990) | Series 6 Part 2 (1990) | Series 7 Part 1 (1991) | Series 7 Part 2 (1991) | ... and so on.

You'll find there will be an overlap of episodes between the Network Volume 7 and Shock Series 6 Part 1 sets, but that can't be helped.

Hope this helps!

P.S. I should point out that typically 1 year = 1 series; for example: Series 10 is the year 1994, Series 11 is 1995, Series 12 is 1996, etc..

Followed one of the links from there which came to a list of characters.

Looking at the one for the Polly Page character, it refers to her as being kinky & being known as Mistress Polly in Canley!

Has someone been playing with the Wiki again because I dont remember the character being like that?

She came across as a bit of a everyday girl next door to me.

Dramas TV Guide has it as being shown but as usual their guide has the wrong episode, according to them for a while they have been showing Series 20 when in fact we are still on 19.

The Freeview TV Guide has it scheduled as normal and the correct Ep Series 19 Ep 94
