Is Jacqueline jossa sorely missed on eastenders at the minute
I know she is only gone till next month but whether you like her not, the last two weeks have proved why her absence is huge and how significant a character she is in eastenders these days.
Although for those who agree the episode count and writing has helped her achieve this status |

but that's why we are in the sh*t with the show, soap operas aren't about one character. If the show seemed to be lacking because one character is not on screen then Lorraine has completely missed the memo on the structure of the show. The show has been piss poor this year there have been dips of lows and, at best, average episodes. In my humble opinion.

frankly its been a god send not to have to endure the flaying windmill arms, & screaming staggering shouting whilst bumping in to objects like a pin ball & the borefest branning booze story. Another downside is that its meant a week of the terminally crap ava,sam and the gobby manchild who needs taking down many pegs,The return of Bimbo Sharon and the scarlet fire farce.
Oh and the appearance of scabby kirsty who still looks like it needs a bloody good scrub with a scrubbing brush, carbolic & domestos. Upside was one less teen nause to put up with. |

No. She doesn't writer her own bloody scripts. Just as Pat says, all it shows is the show's indulgence in certain characters and complete lack of effort for others.
Frankly, I didn't find the weeks of episodes focused on her particularly good anyway - certainly not by old (real) EE standards. I don't see how they 'proved why her absence is huge' or how 'significant a character' she is at all. The only things 'sorely missed' on Eastenders right now are good creative minds. |

Absolutely agree with all three above posts. It's been a relief not to see Lauren and her never-ending tedious alcoholic drama. I hate the way the writers keep shoving her in every episode with basically the same scenes . I'm not fond of the character at all, and I don't care how "hot" she is
. Her absence has not been felt from my point of view.

I'm not watching at the minute but I can't see how a badly acted and poorly written character could be sorely missed. I don't actually miss the show itself for what it's worth.

I don't think she's missed. She has not been gone long enough to miss her.

I'm looking forward to her coming back fresh and alcohol free.

I have a feeling they might go the domestic abuse route with her and Jake Stone. They said he has dark secrets. Joey will obviously end up being her saviour.

I haven't missed her one bit! It's been so nice to switch on knowing that we are not getting the "posh drunk" act and Tania following her family around saying "darlin" every 5 minutes! Heaven!

Yes. I know she gets a lot of flack here but I really like Lauren and her ridiculous little life.

No, haven't missed her at all. I actually wish she wasn't coming back.
Lauren is not a 'significant character' by any stretch of the imagination. She's an intensely annoying, lazy, spoilt, entitled, rude little cow, played by a mediocre actress. |

No. I wish she had gone for good.
I can't abide the shrieking, flailing arms and face-pulling. |
