This is an Oxbridge student who doesn't know about business ownership and so on. I looked in a GCSE Business book in the library and found out I could form a partnership all by myself. Honest.

I get what you're saying and to a degree I agree. The thing is Lord Sugar gave Tom a get out of jail free card with the nail file I agree but the thing was that Helen's plan wasn't much better and at the end of the day Helen's back up plan which she pounced on when she realised she wasn't going to win with her original plan was not the solid thing which Tom's file was of course. It's a case of Lord Sugar had no choice in the matter. But I get the point that they had to have some sort of screening of plans to avoid such a situation occurring again.
