I am a huge fan of both the UK and the old US shows so I am very excited to see this back on TV! It premieres on Tuesday but there is no channel in the UK that will be showing it as far as I know).

There's some teaser clips on the Facebook page etc which look pretty promising, but there are some differences, mainly: new host, and only 3 contestants (but more guests). So is anyone else excited for this? I love Ryan and Colin (especially Colin, he can be very surreal at times) so I'm hoping they will still be as funny as in the old shows

I LOVED the US version with Drew Carey as host and occasional participant. The regular group (including Drew) got along so well (it helps that they're all best friends in real life) that it made the program even more fun to watch.

I never could get into the UK version. It was a bit more relaxed - even with Ryan & Colin. I disliked the UK host. He was such a bore!

I'm definitely looking forward to the revival. I wish Drew was back though. But I'll give it a decent chance to make me a fan once again.

I will always remember this skit from the US version. One of the funniest I've seen: LINK

Yeah the US version is one of my favourite shows, still watch it all the time on YouTube.

A little worried about how the reboot will compare, but I'll definitely give it a watch.

Awww, it won't be the same without Ryan and Colin taking the mickey out of Drew. Still looking forward to it though, absolutely love this show. Anyone know who the new host is?

Aisha Tyler, just slightly different to Drew Carey!

Just done a Google Image search. I approve of this decision

I wonder why Drew ‘is that a wig’ Carey didn’t sign up for the revival? Or maybe he wasn’t asked?
All he currently does is daytime game show Price is Right, so I would have thought he’d take any prime time work offered.

Saw the first two eps and it came across as a televised activity at an old age peoples home run by the head nurse who was making sure to explain everything slowly and clearly so the old dears would understand. (btw I loved the Drew Carey run WLIIA series)

As 5 USA show the US version still, perhaps they have got the rights for the new revival?

There were two episodes?! I only thought there was one! Watched it on Youtube. First one was pretty good I thought, not a fan of the new host but the most important part of the show is the improv, which was still pretty funny.

^ I found it hard to enjoy the show since the host just felt wrong.

Drew is under contract to present The Price Is Right so he couldn't join and they had to get someone else. Pity they couldn't broker a deal or wait to give Drew time to get involved. It seems strange without him, but at least now they can, and are, being ruder with the gags as they aren't on ABC which is owned by Disney and wouldn't let them be risqué.

Just watched the two episodes. Really great start I think. Only recently got into the old series of WLIIA when I heard it was comming back. So not seen too many of them. But yeah I really liked it. Aisha was great I think. A bit loud, and repetitive, but I guess with it been gone for a while, it's alright to continually stress some things. May get annoying after a while. But no I do like her alot.

The guest star things didn't really work for me. There not comedians, so they cant do anything funny. And they are somewhat stars, so they can't just sit in a chair, or be moved around. It just didn't work, but maybe just the games they were involved in.

Talking of the games, all round pretty strong. As I said didn't like any of the ones with the guest stars. But the rest really worked very well. In particular, the one in the second episode where Wayne, Colin and Heather were on the ground, and acting in movies. Had me completely in stitches. Very very funny. Particularly the poltergeist one, was cracking up then.

And the two guest performers were really great. So yeah overall, a few things that could be improved on, but strong start for me. And it did well in the ratings. Both just under 3 mil, with 1.1/1.2 rating. Pretty similar to everything at that time bar the All Star game. Especially considering the drop in ratings had for their second premier with the Perfect Score getting a .4/.3 with .9/.7 viewership. Yeah looking good for the show!!!

So far I like Aisha I think she bounces off the contestants well, and the improv was as good as ever: Scenes from a Hat was, as always, a highlight! I thought I would miss some of the other contestants a lot like Greg Proops and Brad Sherwood but I think, while I would like to see them back again, the two others (especially the man, name escapes me) we've seen in the first 2 episodes have been very good. Not too sure on the guest stars I liked it once in a while when it had some really famous (and funny) guests like Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg.

It would be cool to see it revived in its original format by a UK channel, I'm sure they could have a mix of old and new comedians plus Clive Anderson.

I really enjoyed both episodes. Been a fan of Aisha for a while so the transition from Drew wasn't too bad to get used to. Yeah shame any sort of UK revival didn't work out (like the one hosted by Hugh Dennis not too long ago).

Any UK revival would have to omit Clive Anderson. I thought he was terrible first time round.

Latest ep -
Spoiler
(I'm going for icky and if, or rather when it happens again I'm waving goodbye to the show).

btw: she goes to great and repeated lengths to tell us that everything they do is completely made up, but methinks she keeps forgetting to add that she has a room full of people responsible for her every 'funny' quip.

The CW renews 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?'

"The renewal is for 24 new half-hour "Whose Line" episodes. The CW originally resurrected the improvisational comedy series with a much more restrained 10-episode order."
