gary was bang on the money with what he said to rylan - he CAN'T sing, he CAN'T dance, and he never wanted to be a musician: he wanted to be famous. that's it. that's the reason he never cared about trying to make it in music before x factor - instead, he tried to be a model and appeared on katie price's reality show. and as gary also said, with his strong personality, he has a very good chance of achieving that wish so long as he plays to his strengths a.k.a. not singing! he's a personality, not an artist. his best hope is in presenting.

Of course he was. Talent doesn't just come in singing form, I'm talking about his overall talent.

He came 2nd in Essex Factor and 5th in XFactor... Something surely tells you that people who have nothing don't get that far in competitions? He's special. He proved he can sing in the sing-offs, singing stood in the centre of the stage isn't his style and thank god for that because there are too many artists like that already. He's all about dance music which will be shown when he does release his own music. And his dancing was flawless. I didn't see anybody else from last series attempting any moves?

Oh and you're wrong about the fact he never cared about music before, because it's always been his passion. Hence why he entered Essex Factor and has demos of original songs up online.

The thing about Gary imo is he simply doesn't have the charisma or wit to pull off the 'honest, scathing' head judge role. He's just deathly dull, which isn't what you want in the person you're supposed to like because they're saying*what we're thinking.

oh dear lord. he was tone deaf. he had no "overall talent" whatsoever, just a good personality. he's likeable - that's all. that's not a talent. certainly not one pertaining to musical ability.

he seems like an ok guy, but all that he wants is fame, whatever way that he can get it. and it's certainly not going to be through music, so like i (and gary) said, his best chance at achieving that goal is to play to his strengths and become some form of media personality. he's not going to be breaking any records with album sales or gigs....

True, but this is still awful double standards from Gary given he championed the execrable scrote Frankie Cocozza when he was in his group He was truly shite as well as being a complete arse, but Gary didnt seem to mind that.

Listen to some of his Essex Factor performances and then come back and tell me he's "tone deaf". He never got a true chance to showcase his full ability because of how the show wanted to portray him. His falsetto is outstanding. He's got the whole package, not many people you can say that about nowadays.

No he WASN'T just looking for fame. I have no idea how you can come to that conclusion when you haven't given him enough time to release any music yet.

Let's be real, how many people come out of the show and do break records etc? Even the very best of singers often don't, but I do definitely think he can have a hit with a catchy dance tune.

entered CBB, often on celebrity juice, magazines. Now presenter of BB. Got nothing to do with music, but certainly making him more famous for not really doing anything.

I agree, he's completely wrong for this type of entertainment show. He'd be far better suited to The Voice, which is as dull as he is imo.

Gary was one of the judges today

BB is something he's always wanted to do since back when he was younger, so when offered the chance of going on CBB why ever would he turn it down? Like logic. He's getting paid every day to be himself, I'd say it doesn't get any better than that.

I'd like that to be the case but think it's unlikely. If Robbie doesn't rejoin the group though, he'll be free to be 'snapped up' as Gary's replacement on the show. Ugh.
