So then, the day has come!

Whose coming to the Proms tonight?
Who are you hoping is there?
What monsters do you want to see?
What songs are you hoping will be played?
Do you reckon we will get a preview of whats to come?

Personally, I want to see Matt Smith alongisde Jenna-Louise Coleman. With maybe a guest appearance from Karen and Arthur? and hopefully Alex Kingston!

In regards to the monsters, apart from the obvious Daleks and Cybermen and Weeping Angels, I would LOVE to see the Whispermen, the Silence, silurians and Sontarans and Icewarrior! - baring in mind this is the 50th Anniversary Im sure there be some older monsters too.

For the music I can't wait for the 50th Song to be played! along with 'I am The Doctor' and hopefully 'wake up' from TRoA.

As far as I am aware you can listen along LIVE, so I'd guess as of 19:30pm, assuming it starts on time then you should be okay to listen LIVE.

I am so looking forward to this. I just don't understand why, if they are playing it live on the radio, they couldn't just film it and broadcast it live? It'll feel weird listening to it but not being able to see what's happening! :S

Yes yes yes. 'I am the Doctor' gives me insane goosebumps I want Clara's theme and ''This is Gallifrey' as well. I think 'This is Gallifrey' is my favourite Doctor Who song ever, it's beautiful

The only time I've listened to Radio 3 was during the previous Doctor Who Proms. Really looking forward to having the headphones on with a few glasses of wine tonight

Is Matt Smith appearing as himself or also as the Doctor as at the 2010 Proms? If it's also as the Doctor, I wonder what they'll do about his hair. Of course, they probably pre/filmed some video sequence with him as the Doctor before he had his hair cut, but last time he also appeared live as the Doctor.

my 4 year old will love this - thanks to the op for the heads up. I'll put her tv on tonight on the radio channel & she can listen to it!

What time does it finish?

When will it be televised?

thank you.

The only Tennant era piece will be ALL THE STRANGE, STRANGE CREATURES. The tracklist centers around the 11th era and the classics from what I can see. Rings of Akhaten despite its ridicule should be a highlight. "The Companions", "First Were The Daleks" and "Classic Doctor Who Medley" should be good. I imagine they will have great montages accompanying them. I hope we get a bit of City Of Death in that classic medley.

Are you 100% sure the only RTD era song is ALL THE STRANGE, STRANGE CREATURES. If so I'm very disappointed
