Who else is excited about XFUSA3?

This season, based from the audition previews shown on YouTube, seems to be the most exciting season in comparison to the first 2. The chemistry is over flowing and the Demi/Kelly sister bond seems natural. I also love the Simon and Paulina sexual tension going on. It's actually a great panel.

The Instagram previews are also funny!

Here are some examples:

There's no dead energy from the panel. Unlike last season where the energy dies with Britney and LA.

I still have to watch the first episode before I actually judge the show. But the previews they are showing are really helping because you can see how it's more fun now.

I am! But Mainly because Fifth Harmony are expected to be the first success story to come out of the show.

+ Seeing Demi twice every week on TV is pretty awesome too.

Me.
Although America got the final two horribly wrong last year. I LOVE X Factor USA.
I hope they keep the weekly rankings.
Can't wait to see the lovely Demi on my TV every week.

I'm really looking forward to it! Especially the fact that I'm looking forward to the new panel! It's usually the unknown celeb judges that end up having great chemistry! (Bgt panel springs to mind is easily the best panel at the moment, yet neither of the 4 judges a global superstars)!
Why does the Amercian one start so late in September? Maybe this why the ratings are so low? It ends quicker over there

Can't wait for it I just hope its not like last year, that was amazing until the live shows where everyone just went at the wrong time, the American public's voting results are just ridiculously bad.

Looking at the early spoilers;the talent looks way more diverse than last years and stronger.

I will probably watch, but I hope they don't have the 'results chart' as last year - it took all suspense away knowing the same top two throughout

What channel is it on by the way (don't watch auditions) - has it been televised over here yet

I didn't enjoy the first two seasons that much, but I'm looking forward to seeing Kellyas a judge again. She never seemed to settle into the uk version but I think she will be more comfortable on her home turf.

No. It hasn't even aired in the US yet.

I think it's on ITV2. (Someone correct me if this is wrong).

You are right. It premiers on the 11th and 12th September in the US. The past 2 seasons have aired a day later in the UK. So I guess we get to see it on tge 12th and 13th of September on itv2

In America they show 2 audition episodes a week in the slots that will eventually be taken by the live show and the results show. If we did the same here i.e. showed auditions on Saturday AND Sunday from the very start instead of waiting until bootcamp or Judges Houses to go to 2 shows a week we'd start at least 3 weeks later than we currently do. Same amount of Tv but half the weeks to show it! American Idol follows the same format; I'm not sure but I think the voice does too.

I wouldn't mind that to be honest; by the fourth week of auditions I just want them to get on with things and go to the next stage because it's been on TV for a month by that stage. Doubling up the audition shows every weekend means we'd get the same volume of X Factor but in 2 weeks instead of 4; it doesn't feel like it's dragging on when it's aired like that!

(See also: Million Pound Drop when it was aired 7 nights for a week versus Million Pound Drop aired once a week for 7 weeks, etc.)

The 'low' ratings (which are atill pretty good; America may have a higher population but in terms of ratings, the sort of figures we aim for here are fairly similar to the ratings they aim for there due to the different TV landscape) are probably a combination of factors
- general talent show fatigue
- X Factor USA hasn't hit the right balance with the judging panel yet - our version didn't really hit the massive ratings until series 5 - 5 (the Simon, Cheryl, Dannii, Louis years) and haven't managed to hit the right balance yet. It felt like Nicole was single handedly carrying the show at points last year, auch was the lack of energy from the rest of the judging panel
- X Factor USA was last out of the starting blocks. The Voice and American Idol are the best known of the other American singing shows, but they're not the only ones. Despite the big names and the big budget attached, it's still very much the 'newby' trying to establish itself.

I'm very excited, but...sexual tension between simon and paulina? some people who went to the auditions said he seems not to like her very much, and in this video he doesn't even touch her while they're taking the pictures: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=VY6NHLQy8C0
it's a little awkward
so yeah, I'm very excited for the season, although I think paulina is the weak link (but she might get better, she and demi seems to be getting close)
