Why is it that owners have to clean up their dog foul but cats can destroy gardens, foul anywhere they like and nothing's said by councils? there should be a £1500 cat licence fee to put anyone off owing a cat.

Not in the UK there isn't, the dog licence was scrapped donkeys years ago.

Maybe dog owners have to clean up after their animals because they let their dogs crap on pavements, on kerbs and in public parks/ grass verges where us humans walk a lot and dogs never bury their faeces? whereas you don't see a cat stop and take a dump in pedestrian heavy areas, they tend to crap somewhere private.

Also how do you know it's cat poo? Could be fox or hedgehog even?

personally I find people who leave soiled nappies lying around in my local park more disgusting than some cat crap in my garden.

No it was not it still exists in N.I, I have to pay 12.50 for each dog and they must also display a licence tag, an I.D tag AND they must be chipped.

Silly poster. DS loves cats. I wonder how many responses you'll get.

The licence is a very good idea along with the chipping , dog law in N.I is very strict with heavy fines.

Never did understand why they scrapped the licencing over here, if I had a dog (alas work) I'd happily pay for a licence etc. I remember my mum having our dogs licence in the top drawer in the hall when I was little

What an odd thing to write!

Properly brought up cats use their own gardens in the area provided.

I still say they're dirty animals. Crap over gardens, and yes i've chased them away in the process of their first part of their dump! No difference in dogs shit and cats shit it's disgusting! At least dog owners are required by law to clean up their dirty mess, and a cat can shit anywhere in the neighbourhood.
Biggest pest the Romans ever brought to Britain. Carry all sorts of diseases and parasites too.

Not if properly cared for (which most are). As you'll know if you read the other thread you posted in (don't know why you bothered).

Far worse are the chavs with their status dogs. I'll bet they don't get wormed for toxocara canis regularly (I mean the dogs, of course).

nepotism46 chll. You are entitled to your opinion, no need to hammer the point home . We get it, you think cats are dirty.

Personally, I find cats are one of the cleanest and cutest creatures on earth .

you couldn't keep a garden clean with the amount of dirty cat owners in my neighbourhood. I'm thinking of getting nice black anti climb paint, some sort of an electric fence or failing that some sort of a powerful catapult. The anti climb paint sounds the best, cats hate it on their fur and tastes like their crap, and their owners then start hating their cats when their house becomes messed up with nice black paint.

This.

Plus I've told my neighbours if they think my cat crapped in their garden, to let me know and I will happily go and clear up after them.

Wouldn't worry to much about the blood pressure. I'd worry more about the smell of clearing up cat shit

Here's a question. Is it legal to relocate a cat that's in your property? What i mean is a cat trap and driving the cat about 20 miles away to a new home high up on a hill or mountain. The cat isn't harmed and the shit problem is solved. Forget about all the anti climb paint and the electric fence. Problem solved!
