Earlier this evening, the three finalists of The Chance Factor sang two of the four songs they had prepared for this show. However, one of them will not get to sing their other two songs. The public have voted, and now it's time to face the results of the penultimate vote of this series. With that said, let's welcome back the judges and the three finalists!

All right ladies and gentlemen, with this in one hand and the result in the other, in NO particular order, the first act through to part two of tonight's final is:

Lucy Spraggan

Well done Jacka, you have defied the odds once again and got your act into the final two, simultaneously breaking the pattern we had going on in the overview!

James and Brenda, only one of you got enough votes to advance, the other didn't. The act with the fewest votes, who will be finishing this competition in 3rd place is:

Brenda Edwards

Unfortunately for her and her mentor, their journey stops right here. Commiserations Pingu, you did a great job with her and above all had an amazing run in this competition. It's sad to see you go, but this is evidently what the public wanted...

However, well done to James and Stephen who are through to the final two!

Of course I will post your comments Pingu, why do you think I give people the option to send them to me in the first place?

Commiserations by the way, Brenda has been an amazing contestant in my opinion.

And with Brenda's departure, it's time to move forward again. Reprising his mentor's favourite performance, it's James Michael singing Only Love by Ben Howard, which he originally sang during week 4's Lucky Dip!

James Michael
*standing ovation*
James, this was probably my favourite performance of yours and I really thank Stephen for letting us have a reprisal of it tonight. You’ve been consistently great over the course of the competition and you’ve came through as a bit of a dark horse which is really inspiring. Great work to both you and mentor Stephen, you’ve both been great!

James

*Standing Ovation*

James you have been the most fantastic contestant to work with throughout this competition and I have loved every minute of working with you. I decided to choose Only Love as my favourite performance as this week you had to step out of your comfort zone with the Lucky Dip theme and this week in my opinion you absolutely killed the performance and tonight James I wasn’t sure if this performance could have gotten any better but ohhh my James that was just superb. I really hope you continue to get the votes from the public and go all the way.

James
*Standing Ovation*

James though you have had many great performances, this is one of my favorites. It was a very hard week but you pulled it out of the bag and gave an amazing performance. This is even better than last time, and the vocals were good. Well done on giving yet again, an amazing performance!!!

That's the third unanimous standing ovation James has got tonight, but will the public reward him as well by voting him to the title?

Now, singing a song she originally sang six weeks back during the very first live show, it's Lucy Spraggan singing a cover of Starships by Nicki Minaj once more!

Lucy
*Standing Ovation*

Lucy that is my favourite performance from you. Although it was all the way back in week 1, it was how you started off and really brought you into the competition. This was upbeat and fun even though it was on your guitar still. It was better and bigger than before, and your vocals were great. Well done!!!

Lucy Spraggan
*standing ovation*
The reason I chose this performance is because it was right at the beginning of the competition before I really messed you up with stupid song choices and things which just got really repetitive and weren’t very impressionably. Lucy, this performance is just pure you and no-one can deny that. So thank you very much for being such a wonderful performer despite your hopeless mentor

Lucy

*Standing Ovation*

Lucy I have to say that was a brave choice from your mentor to go back to your week 1 performance. I can remember doing this with Little Mix when I mentored them and it sorta backfired on me as I ended up in second position with them. I think you have done well to make it into the final 2 and deserve to be extremely proud of yourself. I wish you all the best.

Three standing ovations for Lucy as well. She might be the underdog in this final, but it's not uncommon for the underdog to actually grab the top spot. Who knows what's going to happen tonight?

Stephen, you may post your finalist's winner's single yourself. Along with that, please tell us something about your act and why he deserves to win this competition.

Ok so I would like to take this moment to say a massive thanks to everyone who has voted James through to this point. I fully appreciate every vote and I am so glad that James is still here fighting for the title. I chose this specific song for James to sing as his winners single as I feel not only can James add his impecable vocal tones to the track but he can a new level of vulnerability and emotion. So please welcome James back onto the stage one more time to give his final and in my opinion most moving and amazing performance singing Free Fallin'
