Best of luck Jacka although I have a feeling Lucy will take it after tonight
Thanks, but I doubt it - James has been great all series!

Okay ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves for either very good news or somewhat bad news. Feel free to put this on for extra tension, but I don't blame you if you don't want to as the atmosphere is tense enough around here.

All right, with 51,16% () of the final public vote, the WINNER of The Chance Factor is:

So congratulations to Jacka and Lucy on their victory. She came in as the underdog today, but it has once again been proven that the public love their underdogs.

Also, massive commiserations to Stephen and James, who have been consistently amazing throughout the competition but unfortunately were just a few points short of securing a victory. This is a bit of a deja vu for me actually, seeing as the exact same thing happened on the first series of The Mix Factor if anyone recalls that. Lucy managed to get the votes when it mattered, so well done to her and her mentor for accomplishing that!

Steve, the stage is all yours!

Well done to Stephen and James, you guys were brilliant and based on the whole competition you deserved to win but you never can predict the public

So folks, we go all the way back to show one and I opened the first show. It was all about the Top 40 UK and we had quite a mixed bag. Our winner Lucy get off to a perfect start by topping the votes with Kerry a surprising second. Whilst Runner-up James had a very slow start at the beginning. But in the end, we said goodbye to one of the groups as Same Difference were shown the door following the deadlock result.

Live Show 1 Results

Lucy Spraggan 19.56%
Kerry McGregor 15.48%
Paije Richardson 14.32%
Brenda Edwards 13.24%
James Michael 11.18%
Union J 9.92%
=================
Ella Henderson 8.78%
Same Difference 7.52%

I hope no-one minds me saying this, but there was a mere 1 point difference between Lucy and James in the end. The two constantly switched positions throughout the second voting until Lucy ended up with a single point more than James!

The second live show arrived and the theme was "It's In The Name", meaning songs that began with either the first or last character of their mentor's DS username. It was a broad night and it certainly change the leaderboard around. It was fantastic night for the boys as BOTH James and Pajie shared the top spot and by quite a bit too. On the other side, Kerry tumbled into the bottom two but was saved by the public as Ella Henderson was sent home by the judges.

Live Show 2 Results

James Michael 19.05%
Paije Richardson 19.05%
Brenda Edwards 16.67%
Lucy Spraggan 12.50%
Union J 11.90%
=================
Kerry McGregor 10.71%
Ella Henderson 10.12%

Our third live show was here with me in charge. But here the difficulty level increased as the 6 acts had to sing not once but twice. The themes were Guilty Pleasures and Debut Singles. For the second show running, James & Pajie scored joint top with Brenda third yet again. Not really much of a change here, but Lucy found herself in the bottom two with Kerry who was sent home by the judges, leaving Pingu with one act left.

Live Show 3 Results

James Michael 21.60%
Paije Richardson 21.60%
Brenda Edwards 17.00%
Union J 14.40%
=================
Lucy Spraggan 13.80%
Kerry McGregor 11.60%

Our 4th show was the quarter-final and it was hosted by EoS once again and themes were Unplugged and Lucky Dip. The two themes made a few changes to the leaderboard. But James held on and stayed top for the third time in a row whilst Brenda took second and Lucy did just enough to stay out of the bottom two. However we had a first bottom two between Union J and Pajie who collapsed to last place and was eliminated via deadlock. Anyone noticing a trend going on here?

Live Show 4 Results

James Michael 27.50%
Brenda Edwards 20.00%
Lucy Spraggan 19.17%
=================
Union J 17.50%
Paije Richardson 15.83%
