Not at all, although I do think I have to take some of the blame as I was obviously the one who found them, I don't think I can be given complete blame at all. I was not in charge of finding the flights - if I was then I could understand me taking the blame for this, but I wasn't. I found the flight and then took a screenshot and sent a PM around - so everybody had the opportunity to look at it, and the fact that nobody noticed the mistake either shows they're as much to blame as me. I'd go as far as saying Justin should take even more blame than me for it, as as the project manager it should have been his job to check everything was right for sending off, and I think his post after the mistake we made was revealed shows just how much lack of control he had over this aspect.

And also I just want to say that I can't see why Jack is here at all - yes he was absent for lots of the task but his find for the Pokemon was one of the best finds of the whole task, and the other product he found was also cheaper than the other teams. I think the fact that he found these and was absent for lots of the task (for very valid reasons) should be something he should be commemorated for and not criticised. I can see why I'm here (although there's no way I think I should be fired) but not Jack.

Jack, I was VERY disappointed that you did not step up to be PM this task. If there is ever a task to PM whilst you have some away time, it's this one as all you need to do is ensure there is a clear structure and strategy in place - the majority of the PMing takes place on the first and the last day during which you were mostly present, do you have any response to this? I do accept we all have lives and cannot be here 24/7.

It's especially disappointing considering how I've taken pains to emphasize how I believe you are a capable candidate despite the fact other candidates have accused you of coasting, and your own belief that you're not good enough. This should have been your opportunity to step up and make everyone take notice of you, especially considering you had some excellent ideas, such as searching outside of the UK. Why exactly should Louise keep you in the process?

Edit: I do commend your efforts for making yourself available, I appreciate how busy you are, and I don't want this to seem like an 'attack'.

The main reason for this task I didn't become PM is because of the fact I was gone for two days. If I am going to be the leader of a task i want to be able to be here as often as possible and work with my team as often as possible, not be there for an hour on friday night then disapear until late sunday night. If I am PM I want to give it my all and be able to work with my team as much as possible and unfortunately this week with my business was not an option (which i am sure you guys can sympathize with on this).

Now why should I stay?

1) in this task although i haven't been here for long I found the cheapest item on my team which also was a good 7.98 pounds away from the other teams product. That was the pokemon red game.

2) I came on straight when i got home and went searching straight away today to look for more items and found the candle (which was 15p cheaper than the previous one so in turn I found one which was less).

3) I had to find everyone's links again and make sure they all worked through group chat history and pm's because they all weren't working. This was again right when I got back today.

4) I suggested multiple ideas to everyone and my other countries idea as Gav has said was a very good idea and the team agreed. Even Justin (who's brought me in due to lack of contribution) said that this was a brilliant idea!

5) I am a fighter. I know what I need to do and when I am asked to do it by a team leader I do it. Even this afternoon I took a form of leadership with us having no links working and finding all of them and asking memebers of the team to help me out and asked if they still had their links for that product when our PM kind of abandoned use with them.

All these reasons just for this task alone show how much I have done even with extremely little time and the fact I am right now about to fall asleep from no sleep in 36 hours shows how determined I am.

Alright, if Jack is still typing up a response I'll be taking it into account once he posts. For now, I have to move on.

This decision is extremely difficult, definitely the hardest one of this series by a mile. There could be a case made for each candidate to be fired.

Justin, this task has been incredibly bad. I can overlook missing out on any items as long as the effort was made, but bad PM-ing on top of that? I'm just not so sure...

Jack, I've had doubts about you in this process. You've always contributed something but I haven't seen much enthusiasm or passion coming from you...

Niall, you were responsible for the flights and the penalty that lost this task for your team. If I'm firing people based on that, surely you should go...

Niall, you're safe. You're a strong candidate and you won't be fired for this misunderstanding.

Jack and Justin, I have to say I'm massively disappointed to be losing one of you. Both of you have shown potential. With that being said...

Task Evaluations

Striking while the iron is hot, ha! Firstly, I think this BR has made it seem like your team were a bit of a mess, when in reality this was not the case for the most part you worked together well. In terms of team spirit and effort, I was pleased. The two things that let you all down were the baby monitors – the other team thought outside of the box and managed to secure those for nothing, and obviously the flight fiasco. I apologise if what I said at all mislead you, I just thought return flight fairly obviously meant there-and-back and genuinely thought you were asking where the journey was supposed to start from. I was literally making this face when I noticed your flight was only one way. You all really did make me laugh though, Katie excitedly mistaking an oven for the dishwasher, the constant Russian Doll false alarms, the flight/flights fiasco and the team's attempt to rationalise it while waiting for Louise to return - it was all super funny. Commiserations on your loss anyway, I’m not taking it as too much of a reflection on your abilities.

Justin – Well done for stepping up to be PM, this task is not easy to project manage at all - a lot of the 'strategies' you could have deployed just sort of push responsibility in other directions as opposed to being helpful for winning the task. I think you did an acceptable job considering it took so long for you to be selected. I don’t think the time difference helped you, however as PM it IS ultimately your responsibility to check for things like the flight situation. Sadly, after 3 BRs in a row, having found none of the cheapest items and being the losing PM (having not had a clear strategy in this even in terms of tactics and being able to shift blame elsewhere), there was no other option but for you to leave, however I think you’ve been a very capable candidate and I’m very sad to see you go.

Jack – Firstly, congratulations on a remarkable boardroom defense. I’m quite pleased to admit I was wrong, and that you successfully convinced me that you were correct in holding back on PMing on this task. That being said, I would like to see you project manage soon. On task I was pleased with your performance, the searching overseas suggestion was inspired, so overall a decent task for you and one I’m very sad to see you in the final 3 after. I hope we continue to see more of this sassy streak you seem to have. Also, to add in one more point, considering the sleep deprivation factor, which I was unaware of, your work today was exceptional.

Nail – As you pointed out, the responsibility for the flight scenario was not solely yours, and I’m happy to give you and the rest of the team the benefit of the doubt over the misunderstanding, so I don’t think it’s fair that the full burden has fallen on you. I was impressed by how well you led in the PM-less interim, although as I hinted I do wish you had fully taken command, however I understand your reasons for not doing so. Your work on-task was great though, well done, this task shouldn't hinder you too much in the long run.

Amy – I feel that you very much acted upon my previous feedback, and this week was the most energy and personality I’ve seen from you so far. You also did a fantastic job on-task, and very much deserved being saved from the boardroom, and like Jack I hope to see more of this fiery side. Just be sure to take credit for what you do, I noticed you said that you thought Justin should have taken you into the BR instead of Jack. I can understand your modesty, just don’t ever sell yourself short - if you don't believe in yourself, you cannot expect Louise to believe in you.

Katie – On their evaluation, another candidate said of you for the strongest candidate question: “I am sounding like a broken record but I think Katie again as she has just been brilliant on this task as she's been great on them all. Literally she's a finalist with the way she's been so consistent.” I would personally agree to this, however some also singled you out as the weakest on this task from your team, so in future ensure that everyone has equally glowing reports of you. That being said, well done on this task – I think you worked very hard and your performance in this competition is far more impressive than your win-loss ratio suggests. Also, well done on acting professional despite your issues with Justin, it's nice to see you maturing in this!

Ooh that's interesting - I was told by the other three candidates I wasn't their choice on "who would you fire" when I said I more than expected Justin to bring me into the BR and I'm guessing Justin didn't say I was his "who would you fire choice" since he could've but didn't bring me into the BR.

I think I did quite well on this task cause I saved the team £80 on the dishwasher alone. Also your "Katie excitedly mistaking a dishwasher for an oven" comment made me laugh.

It wasn't me being modest - you said yourself in the evaluation that we failed on the baby monitor and the flights. I was the one that found the baby monitor, so on that, I could have been brought in. Added to the fact that Jack's items were both cheaper than the other team's, as were Katie's, that's why I felt that I should have been brought in instead. I wasn't the only one who thought this either, as at least one of my teammates also thought I should have been brought in.

Team Evaluations.
The team worked very well together this week! However by team, I mean the three people that actually put effort in. This task proved to me who were willing to put in the effort, wanting to do well in this competition, and who are just along for the ride.

Carlisle: Last task may have been your weakest last week, but this week... well, last task is still your weakest - yay! I thought you put an outstanding amount of effort into this task, I don't recall being online at a time when you weren't looking for items. I am very impressed with you so far in this competition, Carlisle. Not only that though, but I actually saw you try and prevent drama and conflict within the group discussions! Yes, very pleased indeed - & without you, your team would have most likely lost this task.

Tyjet: Similar to Carlisle this week! For the first time I am able to say that you have performed tremendously well - you also put a lot of effort in and I always saw you searching for items. There's not much more I can ask for with a task like this! However, this task is just as important as all other tasks and I don't want to see you contemplating how much effort you put in depending on how 'important' you think the task is! Well done though; improving indefinitely.

Kevin: Kevin, you delivered to an absolutely fine standard this task. Albeit, you got overshadowed horrendously by Carlisle and Tyjet this task, but that doesn't draw away from the fact that you did a very good job. I saw you searching for items a lot during your time off work and you nearly managed to equal the efforts put in by the two above even though you had to work. Well done, Kevin; again, I am most pleased - you have been very consistent throughout the competition up to now and I do see you making it rather far.

George: Quite the controversial week this week for you, how surprising! Yes, there were obvious flaws with the task this week and yes, even I wasn't necessarily sure whether to accept some items or not - it was quite hectic. However, I just don't feel like you put enough effort in. There are going to be some tasks that are harder than others, whether that be because we (the advisors & LAS) are a little disorganised - just like a normal boss can be when having a bad day, or whether the task just doesn't suit you. This really does not mean you can be lazy during a task, which is what you were this week. I'm going to need to see some improvements! Your task one performance was brilliant, take me back to that standard please.

Eliza: Should you still be in this competition after a lousy performance this task? No. You, and to some extent George, were very lucky you were the winners of this task. Eliza, there was zero evidence that you even tried searching for items - your name cannot be put down for a single item. Did you feel out of your depth with this task? Do you feel you're not as capable as Carlisle, Tyjet or Kevin? I'm very worried about your place in this competition and feel it could be coming to an end very soon unless I see more of an effort put in by you next task.

I didn't think I was lazy, because I did make an effort to find things - however, I can appreciate why you think that because my efforts did not contribute to our team effort, and I accept that this was my weakest task so far. Hopefully I can impress you more on the next task.
