1) In 2013, having had an abortion is certainly not considered a scandal.
2) I don't think she was boasting about it, she was just talking about her own experiences for educational purposes. That's what The Sex Education Show is for. If they didn't have people prepared to be frank about those kind of things, they'd have no show and it wouldn't suit its purpose.
