one question: wrestling on telly has always been fixed so I'd like to know who's doing the stunt with the razor blades on the forehead to make it more authentic looking ?

Totally disagree. Jade, Jonny & Alex were the childish housemates in BB3. Thank God, they didn't win.

Kate would have kicked Victoria's arse, if they weren't on the same team.

It may be a bit of an overstatement to say 'that's all she did in Big Brother' but, for a grown woman, she did do a fair bit of crying and, at least in some cases, for pretty childish reasons, such as the breaking of sunglasses.

Breaking her sunglasses was the final straw for Kate at a time when she was feeling very low. She was on her period & Alex had left her on the poor side the night before, without giving any explanation.
Kate cried when Alison was evicted - perfectly understandable - & when she got a message from her family.
Jade, Jonny & Alex moaned & whinged all the way through BB3 - & I have very little time for people like that.

When they had videomessages from home as a reward, I was totally sickened by the sight of these assholes pretending to be emotional and missing home, family and friends after about two or three weeks on the show.

The crocodile tears were free-flowing and the guys crying at a message from mom or dad absolutely made me want to puke. Totally fake for TV. PJ was the worst.

yes, what a load of big girl's blouses............

I mean, come on, these student types go off to college for months at a time or trek round Europe taking drugs and getting drunk.

No thought of mummy then...........

No, just after attention, that's all it is..........PJ was probably hoping that the fragrant Katie would give him a hug..............

I can't stand these blokes who use sympathy tactics to get attention from beautiful women..........

Oh, my leg hurts..............

I repect your point of view, but it was six weeks into the show.

The worst examples of crying on BB3 were hideous Tim crying to his mom on the phone & good old Jade crying in the garden to Jonny & Kate after Alex had called her the biggest arse-licker in the house - which she was.

Back on topic:
Apparently, Kate has done very well in Celebrity Wrestling, especially when you consider her size.
Though I completely disagree with people posting 'spoilers' saying what happened. Why don't we just watch & see what happens for ourselves.

Some people do not like them but I love spoilers - I do.

I am quite busy sometimes and usually end up doing two or three things at once.

Who wants to sit down and wait once a week for a 45 minute show (15 mins for ad breaks) before finding out what happens and who kicked who's butt?

For once, let my internet connection pay its way and be useful. Give me all the spoilers I can find. It helps me to decide how to spend precious time or just take a nap.

Worst of all was in BB4 when Steph cried at a video of her dog

I like Helen - our original and totally unique airhead.

Never stops to make me laugh and quietly and gracefully retired from the "instant celebrity" media assaults the later no-hoppers have made their living and obsession.

Steph - our resident chipmunk. I am thinking fondly of her now as she has never bothered to disturb my eyes with her flesh or hopeless "celebrity" attempts.

I hope she comes out from under the rock and let us know how she is.

She didn't retire as gracefully as you say! Helen was the original tabloid whore selling her sex exploits and conquests to the Sun for a lot of money . The figure quoted at the time was 300,000.
She was a great example for the likes of Jade and Michelle. At least Michelle didn't two- time anyone on national TV. I'll give her that.

She occasionally appears on TV when she is invited, which isn't often these days. Have no doubt she will surface again come BB given half a chance.

And she's got nothing on the looks of Kate, Shell and Vanessa.

Yes, I have heard that excuse before.

Quote:
“Kate cried when Alison was evicted - perfectly understandable”

She cried like a baby, as if she had lost a lifelong friend, as distinct from someone she had just met and would see again very soon. Perfectly understandable or melodramatic and attention-seeking? Depends on your point of view, I suppose.

I have no time for Jade or Jonny for many reasons, moaning and whingeing being the least of them.

Alex 'moaned and whinged', or complained with good reason, depending on your standpoint on people using the communal shower as a toilet, during what came to be known as Weegate, which took place around the beginning of the second week, I believe. Thereafter he did not 'moan and whinge' and, in fact, was very stoical during his weeks on the poor side (as many weeks as Kate had), even during that first week when conditions were very much harsher than in subsequent weeks.

If only she was totally unique. Sadly, she has spawned a whole generation of BB airheads. It seems that each series now has to include at least one female HM in that mould - one who is dim but who also plays it up (and acts like a baby), in the mistaken belief that it is cute.

I would call Helen anything but a whore!
She had the perfect chance to sell all the intimate details of her relationship with Paul for a huge amount of money shortly after starting a relationship with him and chose to donate all the money on offer to a charity.
I'm pretty sure unless I am mistaken that no other housemate has done this since.
She did not, like others sell every tiny bit of her life but simply enjoyed her moment while it lasted.
She chose to put her relationship first which many others decided not to do and kept lots of people very entertained for nine weeks.
As for selling her sex exploits I think that might have been her ex boyfriends that did that!
I think her interview with the sun was actually about her time in the house as most of the housemates get the opportunity to do.It certainly didn't include sex exploits as she wasn't the one that had sex in the bb house.

Well done Rach about time someone stood up for Helen. As far as selling stories about her relationship, what a load of rubbish. She and Paul could have made thousands if they had sold out to all the magazines as have certain other housemates. They wanted to give their relationship a chance of succeeding (which it has) and to do that in private. They had the worst time - how many of the other housemates were hounded like they were with photographers and journalists camped outside their homes and following them everywhere and all because they wouldnt tell people when they had sex. Good for them as Paul said it is personal and not for general knowledge. And what did the press do, they couldnt get stories so they made them up - Helen having a huge row with Paul and saying he had made out she was a tart - Paul being accused of snogging a model he merely kissed on the cheek and then worst of all accusing him of going off with some girl on a personal appearance when in fact he had been talking to Helen for an hour and a half when it was supposed to be happening.

So Helen sold out - no way. No for them the free holiday with the new love and appearing in every magazine going - they did things the right way.

And as for Helen not being as good looking as others - have you ever met her. I have and she is lovely. Very tiny and with a great sense of humour who the day I met her had spent hours with lots of kids and she had had time for everyone. Someone to admire I think not have a go at.

Totally agree rachb! Helen was endearing, a word I could never use to describe Jade, Michelle, Emma etc. The fact that they chose to try to emulate her success is hardly her fault.

Also, she may have been a bit naive but she was far from dim, she was always as sharp as a tack when it came to nominations and how the public were thinking.

As to the "two-timing", she said on numerous occasions that there were things about her relationship outside the house none of them knew about, but she wasn't going to discuss them on national tv. It always seemed to me that there was a lot more to it than just dumping one bloke for another.

She enjoyed her couple of weeks in the BB spotlight and as rachb says, the money from the one major interview she has done since went to charity. Hardly a media whore!

Helen vs Michelle Batface?

No contest.

Helen was the first to do"I'm thick feel sorry for me"to get votes. It worked she came second. Then she was so up herself after BigBrother even the papers got completely fed up with her.Now she's stuck with the most unpopular bloke in BB history.
ValO
03-03-2005
Sorry the papers didnt get fed up with Helen - they just didnt get any stories because Paul and Helen didnt attend all the showbiz parties, well known clubs and restaurants, but kept their relationship private. therefore nothing for the papers to write about.

And sorry Paul the most unpopular bloke - where did that come from. I can think of plenty of other takers for that title.

when she went home her old friends couldn't stand her anymore and she did lots of stories until everyone got bored.

He got nominated loads of times-he must have been really awful to live with-helen has to put up with him i suppose to keep the story going.

I saw 1 of the wrestling live i cant say much about it as it has not being shown on ITV till Aprill but i was there with my mates for about 3-4 hours and i saw 1 of the matches between kate and another contestant it only lasted 3-5 mins and the rest of the time we were told to screem and shout and given banners to hold. And we had to screem for the names of wrestlers we hadnt even seen wrestling basicly we were just there to make the show look exiting and we were told by the crowd management bloke not to look bored and fed up coz it wouldnt look good for the cameras as many people wernt impressed but im sure that when it is on the tv it will look briliant though. The wrestling matches are filmed on different days and all the actors looked bored and fed up because the fights are staged acts.

A bit like the panto then. The tantrums and fights for parts were more interesting than the actual show.
