Just wondering what movies you found inspirational?
Watching The Help again and still loving it. Great film. Agreed? Thoughts on it? Other films?

It's a Wonderful Life that's an inspirational film. It does get maligned with being saccharine and corny - but it's not! It does have dark touches and is about sacrifice(James Stewart's character). A truly touching and emotional movie.

Great Expectations(David Lean's version) - there's a lot in this. It's a your journey in life and how fate can make a sudden turn, and the decisions you'll have to take.

Rabbit Proof Fence. If you ever feel a bit fed up with your lot in life it is worth remembering this film. To think those little girls overcame the horror and injustice of being taken from their mum, the cruel treatment the authorities dished out to them and actually walked hundreds of miles through the Australian desert to find their mum. Epic.

Mommie Dearest!

Seriously though i find a strong female lead an inspiration the story doesn't always need to be
believable but a strong female lead can inspire me.

The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp -Mainly because of the occasionally strained, but nevertheless lifelong friendship of the characters Clive Candy and Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff. Kretschmar-Schuldorff's explanation of why he's left Germany is one of the best pieces of dialogue I've heard. Just happens to be one of my favourite films, too.

Pass It Forward (based on a true story)

The Wish Bucket.. often in supermarkets for about 3

I am Sam (get the Kleenex ready though as it gets to you)

Awkenings (Robin Williams and Robert De Nero)... Have extra Kleenex

Bill - Am 80's made for TV movie starring Mickey Rooney. his performance as a person who has autism in that is amazing and would have got him an Academy Award nomination at least possibly the award itself.
