What's the best 32" TV on the market now from the point of view of picture quality and connectivity (particularly with older devices)

Personal choice on the picture quality - Panasonic, Sony or Samsung are the three you'll get most people recommend.

I don't rate Sony out of those three, yet others on here reckon they're the best.

In terms of the connectivity - what are you wanting to connect and how?

There are very few "really" good small screen TV left but perhaps a Samsung UE32f6800 or the cheaper Panasonic TX-L32e6b ? You will get a scart via adapter / converter and at least 3 x hdmi and the ability to stream most content via your PC . Hdmi 2 will also have arc on it if you want tp use a sound bar or home cinema .

What else are you thinking of connecting ?

No idea of the best. I can confirm this model has an excellent picture (installed one for my daughter recently).

I have this and love it. It got a mention on the Gadget show the other week for having a great picture (although they chose not to test it).

I've just bought a Panasonic Viera TXL32E6B from Curry's for £299.
I get a fantastic picture on this even with HD.
But then I've always got a good picture, even with the old LG "32" elephant in the corner" we bought twenty years ago, (reduced twelve years ago to the "second set") which was still going strong and had out-lived two others.

I have an old "recycled" 6ft dipole aerial originally used for 405 line TV transmissions. I put it the loft in the 1970s for my new, at the time, hifi tuner amp, it even has the old "thin" co-ax cable. I started using it shortly after for the TV as well.
I guess picture quality depends to some extent more about where you live than some of the TVs you buy.

£299 for this set from Currys ...was it a misprint ? you got a bargain as it's been £399 to £389 for months ..even £379 at Richers ..was it this model ...I paid £399 so really jealous at your bargain lol

That's the one. It's available on-line. I guess as a model it's getting a bit long in the tooth now, fewer "bolt on goodies" than other sets, but I interpret that as "tried and tested."

I'm not that fond of Curry's, but it seemed too good to miss. My only criticism is that it hasn't a "swivel stand" like our main set, but it's so light it isn't a problem to turn, if necessary, on the stand on which it sits above my Humax PVR,DVD/CD player and video recorder.

You are mixing up EM 6 with "E"6 !

E6 is Panas only remaining hi end 32" TV

EM6 is one made and marketed just for Curries and has a much reduced spec

E6 also has a 5 year guarantee when bought from dealers .

Fair enough, but it makes no difference for what I want it.

The picture quality is the same. I don't need internet connection or other applications as it's a "second set." Still a reasonable buy at the price.

Man , that is a sweeping statement . E6 has much better driver circuits and the screen is Pana's finest and E6 has the 5 year guarantee as well .

Glad you are OK with your TV but its not a E6

As they say, "each to their own."
As a "second set" I'm more than happy.

Agree it's not an E6 model ..I own an E6 and paid £399 for mine and i must admit to being shocked when the poster had got one for £299 but discovered it's a different and lower spec model
