Hotmail on the galaxy s4

Is anyone else experiences serious difficulty navigating the hotmail folders page, by difficulties im talking about clicking on the boxes to delete emails, when i click on the box, it either checks them and immediately and unchecks them, or it opens the email, was a lot simpler on the i phone
I have discovered a slight knack to checking the boxes, but its still a lot harder than any other phone ive used

can anyone shed any light on this annoyance?
