How do you download games/applications onto an SD card?

Hi all

Everytime I download a game or application on the tablet, it doesn't give me the option of whether I want to save it on an SD card or not. It uses the internal memory instead.

Is there any way around this?

Thanks.

Selecting an application at random from Settings / Application Manager, I can see a big button at the bottom of the Storage section saying "Move to SD card".

I can't comment on your particular model in detail, but you have to be aware of the terminology used.

There is listed on the downloaded application, (settings - apps) and by pressing and holding, the option to move it to SD card. This usually means the internal flash SD card (in your case - 4Gb.)

If you want to insert a separate external SD card or USB device, this will be shown under the File Manager icon (or whatever it's called) where you can see it is confirmed as inserted and where you again, have the option to move it. Hope that helps. There are many variations to this with each different model of Android Tablet.

Edit: I should add that most of your downloads will go to the internal SD card by default.

You could also try downloading an app called App2SD, this will automatically tell you that an app can be moved from the internal memory to an external SD card. However not all phones/tablets support it - my S3 doesn't - but it has a HUGE internal memory so it's not much of a problem.

Pucky - no point in replying to this thread any further since the OP has gone away.
