He seems pretty stable to me, even to the point of being a bit dull perhaps. He seems a little insecure, e.g. wanting everyone to like him, trying to adapt his personality as he thinks this is what will make people like him, putting himself down to the extent of lying on his VT as he didn't think his regular personality was good enough. But none of that is mental instability just common and garden insecurity.

I cant help feeling a bit sorry for him though.”

It wasnt normal that he was ready to take on board any critic that was thrown at him and be reasonable about it. But come to think so has Dexter accepted criticism. Both like Charlie. What is going on. Its totally weird.

I feel having Jackie hacking away you all the time would stretch any decent guy like Callum, whose been brought up to respect women, to the edge.

He invented the personality that we see on the screen as a method of fitting in with his friends. Until BB nobody noticed that his character is really an invention to get away from his 'intelligent thinking'. For if he shows that side of himself to his friends then he no longer feels as if his freinds care about him. The result is he is very isoliated in his head and feels very inadequate because he has to act this character in order to have friends, or so he thinks.

so basically instead of having the confidence of the Jack the Lad, he acts the confidence and for the first time in his life its not working for him. When he gets out of BB or actually listens to Dexter instead of dismissing him he could find himself and real friends IMO.

I think Jackie has mental health issues, and so does Charlie - caused by Jackie.

How can you judge behaviour when they're brains are drowning in alcohol?

Does anyone think Callum has got mental health issues?”

No he hasn't.

He has poor social skills.

I don't see anything wrong with the guy and he certainly doesn't appear to have any form of autism. I see him get frustrated with how the group constantly perceive him since Dan got his claws into him and Jackie started to consistently badger him. Add a couple of drinks and he's acting how a lot of people would act. My estimation has gone up for him seeing how he has coped in strange and frustrating circumstances.

this is a forum really not a psychiatrists hospital any suggestions would be speculation for the posters own imagination and personal experience and as such would be wrong.

Odd isn't it how like the rest put up a fake persona to get into the house particularly Gina pretend rich girl (got to hand it to her she got the paps (no pun intended) to do a story about her prior to the house) followed closely by (yes right) champagne Charlie Dexter's tale. They were quick in slating Calum to Jackie and Charlie but kept their own skulduggery to themselves.

WOW--YESSS!! Callum is 90% Roy!! WELL-observed. I'm feeling sad for Callum, but he's become scarier as he's now Imploding---where are those alleged BB Psychologists to help contestants, eh?? I feel tragically sad for the guy now, so it's no longer Fun to watch him.

Nope, even his little outbursts are no more than some people do at home in private to let off steam. They just seem odd because we're seeing them.

No. Jackie is trying to belittle him.

He has issues with the old Travers woman. She is mental. So you could express it that way, I suppose.

He got on well with Daley for a while and Sam is still there. None of them have had much emotional support apart from Jackie and Charlie (each other), ditto the twins.

Dexter and Gina have had a much rougher ride with nominations and being generally disliked.

Why is it that there are always these ridiculous questions about or suggestions that a particular HM has mental health issues. Every season there are either questions on here about a HMs mental state and in some cases even those that profess to be qualified and actually state that certain HM are suffering from mental health issues.

First BB headhunted him, then they literally started messing with his head. Now he is messing with Charlie's head. Poor guy - no wonder he is soaring like a headless chicken.

He'll be heading for the exit if he doesn't get his head together.

Jackie was being extremely rude. I was shocked by how she spoke to him to be honest.

I know she doesn't like him and that is fair enough but she seems to take every opportunity to nip away at him. When asked why she does that she just says 'You know'. Clearly he doesn't really know or he wouldn't have asked.

I know she thinks he is fake because of his audition video, but when was any BB participant completely honest in their tape.

You are so right.
It's the equivalent of starting a new job, anxious but with high hopes, and then quickly discovering loads of your new workmates don't like you, nothing you do to be nice seems to fix it, and that one or two have a real axe to grind.
He's caught in fight or flight while trying to "manfully" do his job.

TBh honest who does Jackie think she is ,her constant moaning about her daughters feelings why dosent Charlie think for herself....Charlie can go next week constant shit stirring,Callum seems to be put down by most people in that house...So he lied on vt most bb contestants have done that but not to such extreme. Mental issues no but emotional fragile yes.

Yes with Daley and Sam on one to one bases, I feel that he wants to be part of the bigger group, he wants to be able to have a bit of fun with them all without having to worry who is going to attack him next, he wanted to be able to start a little romance with one of the (unattached) girls (Charlie) without being chased away by the mother from hell. Right from the start they have belittled & insulted him, at times they have been very personal with him. Jackie and Dan have isolated Callum,

I know Gina & Dexter have had it as bad if not worse, but I guess they have had many years of experience in being the odd ones out therefore a thicker skin when it comes to being disliked. The two of them have amazed me, when I look at Gina I am gub smacked that she has not walked, I don't think I would have lasted as long as she has.
