Exactly ,and to try and put a label on H/Ms of having mental health issues is quite frankly not only wrong but bloody Rude

I try to like Callum, but there is something not right with him, hes putting on an act for the cameras.
That diary room room scene with Callum last night was so fake.

For that reason i think he should leave

I think he`s possibly a sociopath, his eyes are really cold, there is no genuine emotion in those eyes of his from what I have seen so far.

sociopathy/psychopathy are not the same as psychosis, A sociopath is legally sane and fully aware of what they are doing. they are very manipulative and conning, they don`t have a conscience, they don`t feel emotions like normal people do.

This is not a ''bash Callum thread'' but I'm geninely considered for the guy's state of mind.

His behavour in the Diary Room ''ask me how I am?'' was very strange and he has a tendency to repeat sentences over and over again.

Does anyone think Callum has got mental health issues?”

Not mental health issues per se but he has very low self worth and is insecure.

He is not particularly intelligent either and that doesn't help in the house with other people attempting to manipulate situations.

I just think he is unhappy.

Gosh! That is quite an assumption to make.

It's like saying anyone who isn't a one dimensional robot must have mental health issues. Baffling!

i have seen the exact opposite.
He is the one out of the two jostling gentleman that has GENUINE feelings for Charlie and his self loathing is all too evidently genuine.

He has shown more emotion than alot of the housemates often to his detriment.

Also i don't see how it is possible to diagnose clinical imbalances from snippets of a tv reality programme so I would give that up as a bad job.

what a lot of rot. He is a shy man it is more psychopathic to destroy another persons identity with bang zero evidence other than from ones own imagination.

Callum doesn't have mental health issues, or he wouldn't be allowed pass the audition process.

But Callum has self esteem problems, and is very paranoid.
He has an unhealthy obsession with Dexter, trying to find ways of getting one over him.

Basically IMO Callum is one sandwich short of a picnic.

Amateur Diagnosis Syndrome strikes the forum every year!

For what it is worth, I would say that Callum is very intense, introspective, self-examining, acutely uncomfortable and self-doubting. He puts Charlie, the unattainable, on a pedestal far above him, acting like a hopeless swain of mediaeval literature, and puts himself down to the point of self-abasement in consequence.

Yeah but the 'soar' and 'ask me how I am?' were extremely creep moments.

Not saying he's crazy but he certainly is losing grip on being able to stay 'nice' to people.

Can you find the link for the one about Callum.”

People start diagnosing hm's with the autism spectrum every year as soon as someone does something that's not in lock step with the rest of the house. It's been said about Callum and Dexter both since the first week. Not by anyone actually qualified to say so.

I didn't say he was.

As you can see in my quote I said I didn't think he was. 'Not saying he's crazy' to be precise.

Callum's only problem is that he is probably the most normal one in there and so doesn't fit in with all the other weirdos.

He's a bit insecure but I find that quite endearing.

You do realise sociopath is different to psychopath? And ive worked with some in psych hospitals who where detained under the mental health act so not "legally sane" you cant group them all together.

he seems like a guy under stress, not personality disorderd but I may be wrong. I dont know why people suddenly become psychiatrists and can throw out random diagnoses.

While I think there are a couple of HMs with varying personality disorders, I don't think Callum is one of them.

I think he's one of those HMs that go in thinking it will be fun and a nice break for the hols, and ends up cracking when they realise how intense it is.

To me Callum suffers from a nervous disposition (not mental health problems) indicated by the repetitiveness in his sentences/speech patterns - it's kinda like a form of stammering. He has immense difficulty articulating himself verbally. An unusual amount of pause and strain in his speech patterns. His very awkward body language is also suggestive of nerves e.g. - constant self-hugging, self-stroking, toe-fiddling, facial and neck twitches, and a general restlessness about him - he cannot sit still without itching, scratching or rubbing himself or his clothes.

The head massaging of Charlie is rather creepy to watch and I sometimes get the feeling it does more to calm him than it does Charlie.
Purple.

I think he is insecure and doesn't have much self-confidence.

Insecurity issues, but not mental, no.
The awkward oddness in him I've found in plenty of people, sometimes that comes from not feeling able to truly express themselves at given times.
