Was out shopping in Tesco today and found they brought Um Bongo back! I loved that when I was a kid lol (but loved the advert more)
Was very tempted to buy some
Also saw they had 5 Alive - havent had that in years either but remember enjoying that too!

I didn't realise it had ever been away?

I've had um bongo a few times in the past year, and home bargains definitely sell it.

5 Alive in multiple flavours also available as long as I can remember.

Relive your youth here . . . Um Bongo, Um Bongo! They drink it in the Congo . . .

Meanwhile, this is somewhat ... weird . . . Um Bongo - Return To The Congo.

Do they actually drink it in the Congo? Has this been verified?

It was banned, classed as racist.

Beats me, same thing with action men and Robertsons jam. The actual packaging makes no reference to the congo anymore since the company was bought over and the contents changed.

You sure? I'm sure it says on the new packaging "Way down deep in the middle of the Congo, we rediscovered passion fruit and apricot and mango" - I'll have to check
