Sony Ericsson S700 : Anyone got it?
My contract runs out in the beginning of Feb. I currently have a Nokia 6600, and I am looking to upgrade my handset, possibly to the Sony Ericsson S700. Main reasons, it has a 262k screen, and a 1.3megapixel digital camera.
Anyone got this phone wanna comment? I had a play in the O2 shop yesterday and it looked very nice, but the only real way to tell with these things is by using them for a while! Also considering the O2 XDA II for the same upgrade price, but not as good a screen colour wise and not sure if it's entirely practical for all situations. Cheers - Liam |

i have the S700i, so far i like it. just got it on monday though. camera is great! good memory (32mb); easy to use (as are all SE)
only bad thing i think is it doesnt fit in my pocket (it is quite thick) but overall good phone! |

I have had a s700i since november and for me this phone is excellent apart from being a little bulky , the bluetooth is very easy to use and i have loads of free ringtones and games easily found on the web, as well as themes.
The camera is superb compared to most other phones and the pictures are simple to transfer to your pc to send, edit ,email or just print ,the quality is fine. I run a buisiness and take calls all day ,the reception is better than with my old se z600 and i can get calls in areas with poor reception and never drop a call. the only slight downside is the battery needs charging after i have used it all day with my hbh600 headset, thats about 15hrs standby with heavy use. As you can probably tell i rate this phone very highly

I have it and it's a wicked phone. It is actually smaller than it looks though obviously bigger than a K700. Price is dropping as well now. I've seen offers for free.

I also have the phone. I love it, only a little bit big but you soon get use to that once you have seen how great the photo are you have taken with it. And as you can use the memory card to trasfer on to you computer it only take a matter of seconds. Unlike haveing to use the data cable of older SE phones

I have one and its a great phone! I was comparing it last night to my friends Samsung D500, and I think the S700 its better. The screen is better (larger and sharper), and the S700 just seemed generally easier to use, but that maybe because I'm not used to Samsung's.
The only drawback is it quite thick, but I can forgive it that for all the features it offers. |
