Just wanted to confirm that our T835 (Technica) also reboots after selecting BBC3 during daytime hours. In the evening when BBC3 is actually broadcasting the unit tunes in fine so this problem only occurs while the channel is "off air".

Our box has v3.4 software installed. Tried a FTI but no change and still crashes when BBC3 is selected! I can also confirm that sometimes the display changes to "0" for a very short while just before the box reboots itself.

As we never actually watch BBC3 our workaround is simply to delete this channel from the list.

You can add TVONICS SMDR251 to the list.
It's just started locking up when selecting BBC3 when it's off air.
Boots back up to BBC3 again.
Had to unplug aerial to change channels.
I have reported it to the BBC.

This is the reply I received today from the BBC:

Thanks for contacting the BBC.

I understand you've encountered problems with your reception recently.

I forwarded your correspondence to our investigation team who inform me that this is an ongoing issue and it is under investigation.

The only advice we can offer is don't use the up and down button on your remote control but instead select the channel using the TV guide.

It is also best to only tune to the channel when it is broadcasting. If the box locks up, power off at the mains to reset the box as putting the box into standby will not solve the problem.

We hope this information helps to resolve your difficulties but nevertheless please be assured that your submission has been made available to the personnel responsible for monitoring BBC Reception issues. These reports are reviewed regularly to highlight any ongoing reception problems.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us.

Kind Regards
