I think its ITV studios rather than ITV that want it to continue. It's worth £12m a year to them.

That ties in with Holly then. Maybe Christine will take over The Voice?

The British version alone is worth £12m? They do sell it abroad which must boost the coffers.

Yep ITV were paying ITV studios 1m a weekend for DOI over 2 and a half hours according to Broadcast. IT's a big contract for them, so you can see why they don't want it to end.

Christine will be lucky to get QVC after her time on ITV

Just watched Country. Not dire, reasonably entertaining, had an air of confidence about it with some quality names associated. Felt like a cross between Generation Game, Test the Nation, and the Saturday night karaoke show Five used to do.

Had they kept this till Strictly launched and paired with that in the darker months, it might have lured people in with its bright lights, warmth and optimism.

You don't need that in August though. Just step outside and sit in the garden!

3.2m prediction from me.

Wow.

Mind you, it must make something for ITV too.

Maybe the BBC and ITV will offer her shows on a non-handcuffs basis?

Having watched I Love My Country on iPlayer, and then the Dutch original Ik hou van Holland on YouTube, it seems that the BBC have yet again adapted a foreign format with no success. Whilst ILMC was harmless and entertaining, it was no where near as good as the original. For me, it will rate around 3.5m and it deserves it.

This month apparently. She's on I Love My Country next week so that may be the end of the affair with ITV.

Nice to see some of the posts from last night were removed.

I did catch a bit of I Love My Country during a Your Face Sounds Familiar break and from what I saw, it wasn't very bad. I think 3 million would be very reasonable though, considering the time of year.

TV by the main five was dreadful last night. Nothing deserves more than a million.

That rubbish will be yanked from the schedule if ratings are sub 2.5 million,

I Love My Country: 2.96m (17.1%)

Your Face Sounds Familiar: 3.70m (21.5%) (exc +1)

Nothing really inspiring for both really, but at least ILMC increased throughout, starting with 2.54m and peaking with 3.22m by 20:10.

It was below 3m. Give it a few more weeks.

Pretty good ending for YFSF, about where it started. It was probably around 3.9m/23% with +1. Wonder if they'll give it another run? It might be worth it as it's done better than any of their other Summer entertainment shows have done for a while.

Not a great start for ILMC and I suspect it might be downhill from here.

Will it still be on air ?

Saturday nights are a mess for both the main channels, no cohesion at all, after viewing 15 mins of ILMC we had to escape and ended up watching the definitive Ms Marple Joan Hickson.

A 29 yr old repeat was 100 times better than the dross last night.

Your Face Sounds Familiar peaked with 4.30m (24.3%). As to if they will give it another run, Alesha did announce the winner as "the winner of YFSF 2013" and she said 'see you next year' at the end.

She may have been referring to BGT. But I don't think it should be plonked in the middle of summer if it gets another run. It hasn't been derided as much as Splash! though.

It's almost as high as the concluding audience as Popstar to Operastar but it only fell below 3m twice. Not too bad for the middle of summer, and the fact half of the series fell in the middle of the biggest heatwave since 2006.

I Love My Country, but not enough to sit through bbc1 Saturday night massacre another imported hit tv formula.

The only reason YFSF got over 20pct yesterday was because BBC1 offered such weak competition. If YFSF was against tough competition like SCD, it would've struggled to get 3m and 15pct.

Well I said the other day Country would begin with a 2 based on the trailer. I upped to 3.2 based on it being more entertaining than I feared.

Either way, it's a great clunking flop. It will not occupy a 7.30 berth for long.

Will tonights Doctor Who reveal be a ratings success for BBC One in the slot usually reserved for Countryfile or the Antiques Roadshow? Surely that slot could bring in around 5 million for the Doctor reveal. BBC One controller Charlotte Moore came up with the idea for a live event. If only Doctor Who could be broadcast in that golden Sunday ratings slot at 7pm every week.

Oh dear... here we go again.

Stop making excuses, and just accept that Your Face Sounds Familiar got it's second biggest rating of the series.

This is meant to be a thread for relevant ratings data, not for channel wars. Whenever we suggest scheduling movements/decisions, it is so it would benefit the programme in question, not to dent the opposition purposely.

It was the FINAL of YFSF, it was obviously going to rate well with a decent share. Is it so hard to accept that?

Share isn't everything, it's down to the numbers.

It's the reveal, it will predictably rate well. They can't stick it in the 7pm slot every week - and it's not particularly 'golden' either. If it was, ITV's offerings would be doing much much better.

So what? Any show would struggle against a 10m rater like SCD. When BGT was on and the lottery quizzes were down at 2.5m nobody was saying that's axe the lottery quizzes as we know that away from a huge show like BGT they do pretty well. Competition as tough as SCD and BGT is extremely rare anyway, and if YFSF stays in the Summer then it'll never face it anyway. YFSF could get 20% shares against most shows on Saturday nights on BBC1 across the year so it's fine. I think they should give it another run next Summer, perhaps scheduled to start between 8pm and 8.30pm.

And BBC1's competition wasn't that weak, it still got a 17% share.

I think Doctor Who ratings would increase September 2014 if it were to move to Sunday evenings at 7pm.

6.15pm Countryfile
7.15pm Doctor Who
8.00 pm Antiques Roadshow
9.00 pm Strictly Come Dancing Results
9.30 pm Sitcom

You really should be looking at how they schedule it this autumn.
