They're all similarities but not unique to Strictly.
Celebs learning new tasks has been done before. A recurring crop of contestants being voted off week by week had been done before. Dancing (and dancing in pairs) has certainly been done before and after in different formats.
There is a twist on Strictly - just as The Voice has a twist on X Factor. And it's enough that there's no question of a legal issue.
