And I'm guessing it all includes +1?
Yes Courtney, my figures always include +1 where I can get them.

TVRatingsUK has posted the exc. +1 figures. The first part of the final did 2m even without +1 and the second was largely unchanged at 1.67m, so not much difference really. The finals never seem to add much on +1, I guess people much prefer to watch these live if possible.

So the main BB Final programme for the so called best series ever on C5 got 2.1m, compared to the 2011 final without +1 of 2.1m.

It should have been 2.5m or more if we were to believe the hype of some people over the months.

yet more itv whimsical light family comedy drama by numbers

they don't half churn em out!

:huge big yawn:

no doubt it'll be a hit...

It will probably find itself hidden away in a slot not to dissimilar to Big School, but i highly doubt it will be a hit. I'm thinking more likely sub 3million.

Glad Big Brother did well. Would have liked it at 2.5 though. But great series and a fantastic final 3.

Not comparing like-for-like when that one went out on a Friday night in November all in one programme and this year's final was split on a Monday evening in the summer. I think though it's going to come out marginally on top of 2011 anyway.

But it doesn't particularly matter, C5 are very pleased with the viewing figures for this series and it will be back next year.

Thank you, Dancc. Thought as much. And i4u, who's to say if C5 didn't have a +1 service today the extra 100,000 it picked up on +1 wouldn't have watched live? As far as I'm concerned, the extra 100,000 took advantage of the +1 service and the figure would have been 2.1m anyway if it was absent.

According to Wikipedia, BB2011 scored 2.2m officially and considering how good Big Brother 2013 has been doing in consolidated viewing I reckon it will rise to a good 2.3-2.4m.

Soaps

Corrie

8.1m (39.9%) watched at 7.30pm on ITV and 108k (0.5%) on +1 as Lloyd was confronted by racist thugs on an evening out, while there was a slight increase to 8.12m (35.9%) at 8.30pm and 201k (0.9%) on +1

EastEnders attracted 6.88m (31.8%) at 8pm on BBC One as Denise and Ian hit the rocks. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 395k (2.6%) at 10.30pm.

Emmerdale interested 6.48m (36.0%) at 7pm on ITV as Nikhil stood firm over his plans to leave the village, adding 151k (0.7%) on +1.

I am suprised Corrie was that high for the 1st ep let alone the 2nd, last night episodes were terrible. This week is a write-off.

BB was second in its timeslot. Some other 9pm ratings:

Death in Paradise (BBC1): 3.1m (14.1%)
Benefits Britain 1949 (C4): 1.73m (7.9%)
The People’s Medal (ITV): 1.6m (7.2%)
Horizon (BBC2): 1.5m (6.7%)

Perdictably awful for ITV, how embaressing. I expet the figure to be even lower next week with a millionth rpt of The Bourne Supremacy.

Oh silly me, yeah on damp & cold dark November evenings millions of potential viewers are lost out and about on the streets, were as in the summer they'd rather be at home than on the beach.

Marginally on top, is that all?

2013 C5 is available on more platforms to a wider audience than in 2011. It also has +1.

If allowance is made for that plus 'the best series on C5' the final should have been heading towards 3m.

BB on C5 about is about betting and gullible people who soak up TOWIE a marriage consummated behind Tescos, Boreham Wood.

It was very very late, and the audience share predictably shot up as there's much fewer viewers around at that time. A close relative of mine who has watched religously and enjoyed every minute of it didn't stay up for it either as she had work early the next morning, so it got recorded to be watched the next day. I'm sure when the consolidated figures come out there won't be much between the two shows.

The split scheduling has worked a treat though with Under the Dome rating at the very least 33% better than it would have done without BB's support, so me thinks we'll be seeing a lot more of this from C5.

It happens a lot with these shows. People care about whatever the contestants get up to beforehand, what they are competing for, but a number of people don't bother to come back for the result/to see who has won. That's also down to the fact the result is usually pretty late at night.
