"A rare entry" for Disney, there, according to Broadcast, who also make a point about the volatile nature of this chart making it inappropriate for further study because Horrible Histories was number one last week and has this week fallen out of the chart completely. And there was a new episode on as well.
Among other things in this week's Broadcast are the news that Bad Sugar, the spoof telenovela sitcom they piloted last year, now won't be going to a series as planned as the cast and writers are all too busy to do it, not surprising given the starriness of the cast in the pilot.
C4 have though commissioned something called Call Nanny Mewes which just sounds like another go at Supernanny, though I guess that's not a bad format to revive. The article on C5 beating C4 includes "an insider" saying "creative renewal is still one of the broadcaster's major priorities, but schedule transformation is not a quick process". But surely schedule transformation is not the point, they don't need to transform the schedules, and attempts to put series where people don't expect them - like Comedy World Cup on Saturday evenings - have been complete failures.

Wonder if these repeats are getting bigger ratings, and shares, than the last series at half past eight?

I dunno, the Richardson show was just a screening for his stand-up DVD and aside for a few obvious examples, a la Peter Kay, I don't think that kind of thing rates well. He's not fronted any kind of comedy show for C4, has Richardson, he's done some documentaries but no actual attempt at a long-running light entertainment vehicle. I like him, though, I think he might be a good host of a panel show, not that I especially want to see any more panel shows.
Despite a fifth episode of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown taking the piss a bit, I'm afraid I do still enjoy it and the bit with the kittens made me absolutely cry with laughter. Repeating it at 10pm tomorrow is absolutely outrageous, though.

I was unsure about Break the Safe because much as Casualty gets slagged off on here, I thought BBC1 looked a bit weak without it last night, and a new quiz being the anchor of the whole evening made it look a bit exposed. Did alright, mind, and I don't think it's guaranteed to fall because the lottery quizzes depend hugely on the surrounding programmes and it may easily rise next week thanks to Casualty being back.
And of course it beat Family Fortunes as well, so that's a result, and tells you that people are happy to check out new BBC1 light entertainment in a way they often don't with ITV.
