Thanks for that. The launch show rated very well for what it was. Yes it was FTA but at 6pm it wasn't exactly primetime and it was basically a whole hour of Jake and the rest of the team looking pleased with themselves and not a lot happening. The match that followed though didn't really build much on that beginning and looks a little low for what was a decent fixture. The rugby sevens did okay on BTS2, which didn't seem to be free on Freeview. 18k might not sound like much but it's more than the vast majority of ESPN programmes get at this time of year.

Depends. Vera could run 9-11pm, or X Factor could be at 7pm for a few weeks. I think Vera is more likely to get Wednesdays though as Downton Abbey started on the 16th last year, so seems likely to begin on the 15th last year, so they wouldn't be able to fit all 4 episodes of Vera in on Sundays unless Downton starts a week later, which is possible but doesn't seem that likely.

Whats happening to that extra Coro St episode not being shown due to Scotland v England. Hopefully its not going to be shown against an important bbc1 show.

According to the Radio Times, the episode on 5th August is 6 of 8, which would make the 12th August 7 of 8 and 19th August 8 of 8.

Remember an episode was dropped for the Royal Baby.

I think the Coronation Street scheduling is simplicity more than anything. It makes more sense tagging it onto Emmerdale than airing a stranded Sunday episode opposite Countryfile.
